My ideal Opening Day roster. I got a little bit ambitious with the FAs but let me dream. In this scenario I would have Walker starting the year in Memphis and Bader in LF if Noot isn't ready for OD (I also stole this layout from someone but I cannot remember who so sorry lol)

@CardsPumpkin @The_Ryan_Shull Him catching makes it easier to keep him in the lineup everyday and that way you still have the DH spot open for Gorman if he's bad at 3B and stuff like that

@CyLiamDoyle @The_Ryan_Shull The stress from catching just makes injury more likely. His bat is too good to have him get hurt and he’s not the future at the position. We’re hoping Rodriguez is the guy in the next year or two.

Ivan Herrera is going to have a monster 2026 30+ HR would not surprise me at all

@CardsPumpkin @The_Ryan_Shull I'd like to give him a good amount of reps at 1B because I think that's a sustainable future position for him (unlike LF imo) but that's not going to happen with Burleson on the roster.

@CardsPumpkin @The_Ryan_Shull I get the injury concern but I still think it's worth a full shot to see what improvements he can make from 2024 plus, I believe most of his injuries actually haven't come from behind the plate.

@CyLiamDoyle @The_Ryan_Shull Because he can’t do it well and he gets hurt doing it. It’s not like he’s new to it…he’s been a pro catcher for like 7 years. I’m not confident we will see improvement. But he can hit. Let him learn LF and DH the rest of the time.
