The choice to make Marathon will result in Bungie closing or being re-assigned. This is why Steam numbers matter, btw. Just like sales. Commercial AAA gaming is not for art projects and participation awards.

Marathon had no vision. Its world is just more boring FPS slop. Why would these "cybernetic shells" be ugly on and ugly, lifeless, boring world? I made this update in 2 prompts to get something MILES BETTER while keeping their geometry. (lol even the arrows from the scroll) They could have put them in a proper grungy Cyberpunk-like underbelly where they were looking for loot and fighting each other and security droids because "looting the old city is illegal." Hell, they could have had a map topside where you're running through a nightclub, hospital, roadways, homes, etc. They were too afraid. Instead they put you on grass with no enemies around except at POI which are scattered. Outpost comes the closest but it's still a HUGE WHIFF of a map. Largely to blame is the basic bitch style they went with in the entire game.

Someone tell me why cyclone Narelle was the most pathetic example of a storm I've ever seen. Was expecting something like 2008 all over again but it barely sprinkled. Disappointed

One of my buddies a decade ago dated a rave girl. She would go off to festivals all the time with her girls(and one guy friend). My buddy obviously couldn't go because he had a job but he was never concerned. I asked him if she could be doing something nefarious. He said "she would never do that." I simply asked because she would talk about how she looked forward to all the drugs and alcohol. Drugs and drinks never lead to good decisions. Well long story short. She cheated on him with dozens of guys over a year and broke up with him for the guy friend who she went to the raves with.

The "popularity" of Marathon may have been astroturfed. Evidence from the leaked Discord thread shows they were allegedly paid $5 per main Reddit post and $3 per comment/reply. There is no confirmation yet whether this is true or not, but it could signal Bungie's desperation to combat the negative press the game is getting... because 19K off peak and barely over 40k on peak hours is not gonna be enough to sustain this game long term, due to the costs and budget of the game. Steam review manipulations have also occurred in the past with games like SKIBIDI BACKROOMS, Monsters Domain, Lonely Knight, and Blue Archive. But the disconnect between high steam reviews and the rapidly vanishing playerbase is real... and some people are saying that the positive Marathon reviews are allegedly coming from low-playtime accounts. Even recently, Bungie was accused of scrubbing negative feedback on the Xbox store, where the ratings jumped from ~2.5 to 4+ stars after negatives vanished...
