Getting people to vote is a lot harder than getting them to listen to podcasts. Even with Trump ousting Massie (unless there is a huge flip in the vote), it took a ton of money and blasting posts and texts 24/7. Elections are hard.

@Cernovich I recall the OBBB being full of terrible poison pill trash in addition to massive spending.

I’m not naive as to why donors pumped so much money into the race. Even so, the OBBB was the deal breaker for Trump. The OBBB had to pass or else Democrats could have forced a shutdown of ICE. Massie and Rand Paul burned a lot of goodwill up.
Glenn Greenwald@ggreenwald

If the AIPAC/Adelson crowd wants someone out of Congress for disloyalty to Israel, they will be out of Congress. There are a few exceptions due to unusual districts, but not many. The Israel Lobby has unlimited funding and will spend limitlessly to expunge the blasphemous.

I’m sorry but if you are supporting the same “Republican” that the Krassensteins, Hasan Piler, Cenk & Ana from The Young Turks, the NY Times, Ro Khanna and countless other shitlibs are falling over? You are beyond help

Beck@UpwardFrood·
He may have good principles and directionally strong views, but he is absolutely detrimental in helping move along broadly useful legislation and has meaningfully destroyed opportunities to improve the country by virtue signaling against Trump And when things like immigration and the courts are so instrumental to fix, that's untenable and he needed to go

This should be a lesson for Republican politicians - one may side with Republicans most of the time, but when we have important votes perhaps work with your Republican colleagues to change things, and DO NOT SIDE WITH THE LEFT or spend your time attacking the Republican president in order to gain some media attention. We'd rather have fighters in Congress over some stuck up idiots who want to gain some clout. Those 15 minutes of fame could mean the end of your political career. This is the Republican party, not the 3rd worlder groyper podcaster party.

@Timcast As a Kentuckian who voted for him, I am confident Ed will do us right. Massie did not. He had many years and did nothing. Time for a change.

@BowTiedRanger Massie was the last glimmer of hope that the American people got a seat at the table. Israel blatantly just bought that seat. Straight up.

I’m part of the small group of people who hates to see the AIPAC guy win, but also thinks Massie is totally insufferable.

@mattvanswol Massie is more MAGA than Trump and that was the most expensive primary in the countries history, all against him. Only person in all of congress I liked is now out while the GOP expects me to vote for Vivek the Indian scammer for governor. It's beyond dead

@LouisvilleGun Lmao. He's useless because he doesn't vote for giant omnibus bills full of poison pills? Is his legislation supporting local farmers useless? How about his campaign to fight against mandatory remote kill switches in vehicles? Do you consider fiscal conservatives useless?

@SOLibertarian @LouisvilleGun Yeah, the guy championing a bill to allow local regulation of meat to get better cheaper local beef to your table doesn't represent average republican voters.

@LouisvilleGun I've even been a fan of Massie, but I think his biggest flaw as of late has been representing Twitter more than his constituents, or the average Republican voter more broadly.

Sean, since you're in NYC, let's build you a big and filling lunch that isn't $28, using the Brooklyn Costco's prices. -1/2 rotisserie chicken (~850 calories, more if you eat the skin), $2.50 -1/2 cup jasmine rice, dry (350 calories), $0.28 -1 can of green beans (70 calories), $1.16 -another $.50 for oil, spices, etc. That is $4.44 for at least 1270 calories. You stupid fuck.

@CyberPolice20 @Knoxteaparty @CasuallyGreg God forbid I want to raise my voice about paying $8 for a pint of organic blueberries (hold the roundup) that get's eaten in one sitting by one kid in a 10 minute window right. Gahh But to each their own, genetically modified beans and rice can get the job done too.
