- The average cost of remediating a ransomware attack exceeded $4.5 million last year. - Companies are reducing their cybersecurity workforce while cyber attacks increase. - Organizations invest in cyber insurance at the expense of threat intelligence. - Cyber insurance premiums increased by 79% last year while hiring for cyber professionals remained stagnant. - Enterprises face a growing list of exclusions that could void their cyber insurance coverage. - Royal's ransomware note to the city of Dallas says it all…..Most likely what happened was that you decided to save money on your cyber security

Everyone thinks they know but in reality they don't know a damn thing. Those that never worked OCO in TAO or as a mission manager are skids. Sorry, I've been away. I am tracking an Iranian cyber actor who tried hacking into one of my labs. Now, I have his name, address, family, work, all selectors and financial information. I own him but now what to do.....

No one called for a “ceasefire” or “de-escalation” while Hezbollah indiscriminately fired rockets at Israel for nearly a year. If you’ve been silent while over 8,000 rockets were fired at Israel, you’re not an advocate for peace—you’re an apologist for a literal terrorist group.
Kevin Vuong 🇨🇦@KevinVuongxMP

@chriswhitside You are as unhinged as the Green Party Leader, who victim blames the country that has been attacked over 8,000 times by Hezbollah instead of the terrorists who fired the rockets.

@N4hualH It's a sad state of affairs. This would change if national intelligence assets were used for F3EAD against these violent criminals. But that would require completely restructuring government assets.

Western complicity is a focus although few are questioning other contributing factors. Egypt could offer residency but opted to stop Palestinian immigration and strip the citizenship of those already living in Egypt. The actions of other surrounding nations have been more inflammatory while offering very little substantive support. I am not advocating for additional interventionist policies as the U.S. is overextended and the UN is nothing more than a talking head. The region can and should offer a permanent solution without the existential threats to any nation or people.

@CyberSleuth1 I think the main reason is that the protests are related to Israel’s apartheid in Palestine. But more specifically, western complicity in the form of financial, military, intel support. College students are spec protesting the fact that their uni endowments are invested in

As someone deep in the web of geopolitics, I am intrigued by the trending support for Palestinians. I'd love to know why this support never materialized for the Kurds. The Kurds have suffered worse atrocities, far longer with no considerable support from any nation. They have received sparse humanitarian aid and continue to be targeted by numerous countries including Iran, Iraq, Turkey, and Syria. While sitting in a Kurdish camp, I saw pre-teen girls conducting defense drills to prepare for the inevitable weekly attacks from several hostile factions. There were no news cameras pandering to entitled college crowds for support. No broadcasts to highlight their continuous oppression. As Turkey continues to raze Kurdish towns and systematically eliminate the Kurdish people, where are the protests?

@JustWantToQ1 @marxist_cretin2 It's too early in the morning to adequately articulate the sheer idiocy of these ignorant people. I do enjoy their pretense of bravery and hope they continue with their social media posts 😇

@marxist_cretin2 @CyberSleuth1 Here's another one inciting violence and supporting a terrorist group that you guys are responding to in Iran 🤷‍♂️ At least you have her face now and her admission.

@CyberSleuth1 I'm tired of listening to literal retards around here and their low quality opinions, especially those who work for you but don't even know what they're working for or towards. Can I show them what I recently showed you? They will never understand otherwise.

cybernews.com/editorial/why-… Let's talk about hacktivism. This is more of my personal story - things you might not know about my past, and why I can't leave the hacker scene. Even after spending over a decade behind bars. I want you to see hacktivism through my eyes and understand where I've been, and why I am here to stay. This is for you teachers out there. #hacktivism #informationsecurity #hacking #Anonymous #WeAreLegion #ghostexodus @CyberNews

@AlvieriD @intrusion_truth @FBI I've been contacted by 4 groups claiming to be new, sophisticated Iranian threat groups. After further research, I found that none of these groups were Iranian.

Iranian threat group Edalat Ali creates another leak site & a slight name change For some reason they have old SQL injections alongside their Snapp Food breach and a few other oddities. Am I the only one who thinks these guys are not from Iran? @intrusion_truth @FBI

Yes, I think the transition occurred last fall. There were a few that transitioned over the summer and fall such as: Royal = Black Suit Avaddon = NoEscape Rhysida = Vice Society Cyclops = Knight Hive – Hunters International Some affiliates stayed with the original groups but others moved as evidenced by the leak sites

@JustWantToQ1 Exactly. I'm still surprised at the small but significant details that can be found on SNS and other open-source platforms. Data from a single, social media post can reveal everything from relationship details to financial accounts.

@CyberSleuth1 The personalized approach is always the most fun too. Sometimes you learn things about a person which help spread light on other pieces of your puzzle that you weren't even looking for. It's always nice when things just happen to fall into place.

Mediating between businesses and cybercriminals is a new experience for me. I’ve found that professional and impartial conversations yield the best outcomes. Unfortunately, many organizations let ignorant lawyers speak and torpedo the process. When talks break down, there are other options which are often unexplored due to the additional authorities required. Cyber targeting or HUMINT-enabled cyber operations are a powerful enabler. This is where F3EAD, supported by SWOT analysis, is useful because every actor is a target with vulnerabilities that can be exploited.

Last week, I spoke with CP24, Toronto’s breaking news, about what I witnessed while caring for patients in Gaza. While genocide continues to unfold in Gaza, a resident physician colleague of mine told me last week about an interaction that they had with their direct supervisor.

#DataBreach Alert ⚠️ (1/2) FBI Data Allegedly for Sale A database belonging to the FBI is allegedly for sale on a hacking forum for $499. The cyber criminal group with the alias "Team1956" claims that the data includes IDs, emails, locations, full names, numbers, phones, confidential documents, photos, and so on, and publishes some samples. Additionally, the group has also posted a video as proof of the exfiltrated data. The confirmation or denial of these claims has yet to be verified. #DataLeak #FBI

@BratvaCorp It happens every single time. Last week, I was flooded with webinar invites about LockBit. As if these "ransomware experts" had any noteworthy insights.

Remember when #ALPHV was targeted by law enforcement and the ransomware 'experts' claimed it was the end for ALPHV? These same 'experts' are predicting the same end for #LockBit 🤣
