@ClaudeTadolti @straceX Yeah we needed very accurate modeling of lighting environments to make sure vision based telemetry doesn't wash out during docking (crashing into ISS). I think up to 5 reflections or so. Always bought the latest SGI machines, and it still took forever.

In the academic world I can see your frustration when there are better methods (ie Bayesian) but in the non academic world, there has been far more damage done by people who just assume a difference in means is truth. The world would be better if everyone understood the importance of t-tests vs it never having existed.

"Not statistically significant" does not necessarily mean "no differences." The two terms are commonly conflated in exercise science research, which confuses messaging to the general public. We need to do better...
