On this day in 1965, Capel Celyn was drowned to create a reservoir for Liverpool. It became a symbol of Wales’ powerlessness under Westminster rule. Today, we have our own government, and it is vital that we defend Wales' future and stand strong against decisions that don’t serve the people who call this country home 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Heddiw, nodwn 58 mlynedd ers Trychineb Aberfan, pan laddwyd 116 o blant a 28 o oedolion. Methiannau y Bwrdd Glo Cenedlaethol oedd yn gyfrifol am y tirlithriad. Cofiwn y rhai fu farw.

Today marks the anniversary of Aberfan, where 116 children and 28 adults were killed. This disaster was a result of the failure's of the National Coal Board. We must never forget those lost, never again.

It should never have been agreed to go ahead with this twp pairing system using the boundaries of a different legislature we know doesn't work for Wales. The Commission's hands are completely tied by statutory requirements and the result is a mess. Radnor and Swansea...🤨
