The Border Management Authority has achieved its latest major breakthrough by intercepting a truck trying to smuggle explosives valued at R1 million into our country at Beitbridge. These particular explosives are often used in cash-in-transit heists and illegal mining.
Vigilant BMA officers became suspicious and worked with SARS to use the advanced scanning technology at Beitbridge to detect a hidden compartment containing the illicit goods. The driver was arrested after attempting to flee and further SAPS investigations are underway. Day after day, we are making our country safer by restoring the rule of law at our borders! 🇿🇦

Minister Lamola needs an urgent meeting with his counterparts from: Zimbabwe, Malawi, Nigeria, Uganda, Burundi, Mozambique, Somalia, Ethiopia, Pakistan & Lesotho, to address the issue of their citizens flocking to South Africa illegally, and the burden this is causing on our Health, Education,Crime, Accommodation & Employment. The Silence is too loud, the ignorance cannot be a solution. This issue is boiling and since the BMA and SIU reports, there needs to be a solution from the Ministry through Diplomatic discussions Making statements on Iran isnt helping the immediate issues in SA.

The demand for Elon Musk to surrender 30% of his business to operate in South Africa is absurd.
Bringing infrastructure, creating high-skill jobs, and expanding the national tax base should be more than enough contribution from any global entity.
The South African government claims this is about compliance, but in reality, it's a system of state sanctioned theft.
While other corporations have quietly paid for political patronage to bypass these rules, Musk is calling out the corruption. This 30% norm hasn't empowered the people, it has simply enriched a circle of political elites.
Most businesses take the easy way out and pay the bribe, but Musk has the integrity to stand his ground and expose the rot.

South Africa won’t allow Starlink to be licensed, even though I was BORN THERE, simply because I am not Black! We were offered many times the opportunity to bribe our way to a license by pretending that a Black guy runs Starlink SA, but I have refused to do so on principle. Racism should not be rewarded no matter to which race it is applied. Shame on the racist politicians in South Africa. It took under 12 hours for police to capture five armed robbers who pulled off a daring jewellery heist at Gateway yesterday.
Almost R2-million in stolen goods have been recovered.
Members of the SAPS Economic Infrastructure Task Team, Provincial Murder and Robbery Unit and Provincial Tracing Task Team found three men at a hideout in Umlazi.
Two others were intercepted on the N2.
All suspects are in their late twenties or early thirties.
Two security officials were shot and wounded during the armed robbery around 4pm yesterday.

#sapsLIM A 35-year-old female suspect, Tshwarelo Faith Maboya, who was arrested during a multi-disciplinary intelligence-driven operation in Onverwacht, Lephalale, has appeared before the Lephalale Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 08 April 2026.
During the operation, police searched a flat in Onverwacht where Maboya was found. Upon searching the premises, members discovered 423 grams of crystal meth and 31 grams of CAT (methcathinone), with an estimated street value of R55 000.00. An amount of cash exceeding R1 000.00 was also found.
A 34-year-old Nigerian national male, identified as Simon Okoya, who is Maboya’s boyfriend, was also arrested during the course of the investigation. He is facing a separate charge of contravention of the Immigration Act (Act No. 13 of 2002).
