@HumanCinepede @JorCru I'm glad you were able to enjoy it. I know some people did. I just wasn't one of them.😞 As a decades-long Halloween fan, it felt like such a betrayal.

@Cyns_Corner @JorCru I agree. 2018 was a great place to stop. But again just as a movie on its own I like ends. In fact I just fast forward through the Laurie scene and turn it off after Corey dies when I rewatch it now.

Anyone shading this is underestimating how cheap this particular executive is. He is really, *really* cheap. Famously so. He cleverly built his studio on a model that was fundamentally *about* being cheap. It's not even an insult it is his entire economic system.

@HumanCinepede @NoShining_ @JorCru I have no problem with Laurie being in the sequels. I have a problem with many of the sequels being so poorly written. H20 and 2018 were the only ones she was in that were pretty solid from start to finish.

@HumanCinepede @NoShining_ @JorCru Corey's story wasn't interesting to me in the slightest. I hated that film so much after I saw it that I refuse to ever see it again or add it to my collection.

@NoShining_ @Cyns_Corner @JorCru I didn’t like it the first time I watched it and then completely changed my mind the second time around. Corey’s story was way more interesting than Laurie’s in my opinion. Honestly I don’t know why they kept her around.

@drizzy_dre2225 @WolfmansGotNard What I found out after the announcement was that they were waiting to see how well it performed before deciding whether they would proceed with a trilogy. So they already had it as an idea. Big mistake.

Halloween was a one-off. There was then an offer of a two-picture sequel that was negotiated then agreed. It's Resurrection all over again for this liar.

@HumanCinepede @JorCru If it had been an anthology-type of film like Halloween III was, *maybe* it could have been halfway decent but that would require completely removal of Michael. As a film in his universe, it did not fit at all and should never have been made. They should have stopped at 2018.
