You know, when just about everyone has a belief that they think they have an understanding of. They'll defend it to the death and not consider that they don't truly understand. And when someone brings up non-bubble information, instead of thoughtfully considering that they may be wrong about something that imbues virtue to them, largely because they don't want to be wrong, they'll instead attack the messenger.
