@FPL_Harry I really hope they stop allowing 5 FTs to be rolled - encouraging inactivity adds to how dull this season is

@nonewthing Always injured, always hot and cold, I’d sell him for any good money this summer

FH is simple for me.
3 most likely CS as the back 3.
Then backing the 3 highest upside attacks by doubling up on all three with the 2 most likely goal scorers from each, then taking 1 from the 4th.

Q) How does your ideal FH draft look?
If I were to set up a Free Hit team right here, right now, it would look like this:
This team ticks the essentials:
- 3× Arsenal, 3× Liverpool, 2× Spurs + Bowen, Gibbs-White, Bruno Fernandes
- 5 penalty takers (Szoboszlai could have pens over Salah)
- I favour Rice over Saliba due to his set-piece role and higher likelihood of +2 DEFCONs
- The Gibbs-White slot is flexible for punts like Wilson, Ndiaye, or Cunha
- I’m less convinced by MUN assets than bookmakers/models, given they face an in-form Brentford side pushing for Europe
- I’m intrigued by Eze if there are strong indications he starts
My own Free Hit will likely be very similar to this draft, though I could see myself going with double Spurs defence and/or triple Liverpool attack to maximise covariance.

@AlexVolloFPL Just pick players who score goals, get assists and get clean sheets.

The harsh truth is FPL models are better than data-driven managers because "data-driven" managers often use stats in a way that just creates fake analytical evidence for themselves.
So we end up in a spot where models, even with a bunch of uncontextualised data, are in a favourable position, not just because they remove a lot of human bias, but also because the way people interpret data is often mindless, and instead of working with it, they use it to directly evaluate players.
