I've already accepted that Debbie and Nolan are endgame but they can't do it like how it was done in the comics. I don't see this version of Debbie forgiving Nolan that easily and getting back together with him that fast. Their reconciliation has to be handled very differently.

I don't think they'll make Paul a bad guy but don't expect him to stick around. He's a disposable love interest just like Amber. In these types of storylines, there is always that one temporary love interest who's “in the way” of another inevitable relationship.
