Reading this makes me tremble. I remember my mother and I speaking in the kitchen of her apartment, and I saw news reports coming in. I thought, "Oh no, not again..." Worrying about my family there. But then I saw the pictures... I didn't even want to show my mother. How can I? But she insisted. And then she started asking about my sons. Are they safe? Where are they? They're teenagers, so who knows what they're getting up to at times. Everyone was okay, thankfully. But then the day unfolded... worse and worse... more and more horror. This wasn't just a small, isolated attack. This was something beyond recognition. I couldn't sleep that night, thinking of these pictures of people of all ages... the first ones I saw were of elderly people slumped over, victims. No, I thought, this isn't happening. The people trying to escape in their cars, the Nova festival kids running for their lives. And then people online mocking us. My G-d. What has the world come to? Where are you Hashem? But I knew in my heart... yes, Israel will survive this, even if it seems darker than hell itself. I remember when I first came to Israel as a young man, staying in a hostel in Jerusalem's Old City. Oh my, I thought, I have a whole big room to myself. I haven't showered in a few days. Take a shower, lay down, rest. No smartphone then. Just me, thinking, I have all of Jerusalem to explore, Shabbatons to attend, people to meet, study sessions galore. I fell asleep... for all of five minutes. Then, suddenly, a group of IDF soldiers exploded into my room, laughing and talking in Hebrew. My own Hebrew was broken... but I could still talk to them - in English and broken Hebrew. We stayed up half the night talking and sharing stories. I'll never forget it. And I saw, in that moment, what Israel's youthful fighting force had to offer. I remembered that night on October 7th in the darkest hours. We will prevail, B'ezrat Hashem. We will prevail.

He's a piece of shit, and it pains me to say that. I followed him from the very beginning, when he was podcasting from his basement. I appreciated his curiosity, his personality, and his warmth as a person. And even now, I don't think he's lost those things - but it's been what? fifteen plus years now since those early days? The man has had time to grow since then. I'm beyond disappointed in him when it comes to his behavior since 10/7. I don't want or need anyone's outright allegiance to Israel - or to the Jewish people, for that matter. I just want... a fair shake. THAT'S IT. But at the end of the day, it's just the same old antisemitism we've always dealt with when it comes to Joe. And for anyone to say, oh the Jew's complaining again. Look, there's a clear pattern here. Antisemitism is, to borrow Elon's term for wokeness, a mind virus. It burrows into a person's brain and takes over. Everything comes back to: the Jew is responsible for every ill in the world. Every bad thing, the Jew did it. Even when you have Muslim violence happening every day now in the UK and across Europe, it's somehow the Jew's problem. Everyone else is absolved of their sins. And here comes Joe Rogan, with the biggest podcast in the world, who has mentioned this topic before - meaning, he ought to know better - who then tries to make a fool of Douglas Murray, one of the most erudite human beings on the planet, when Murray was explaining Israel's position... and from there, it just kept snowballing. To me, you can see the social pressure - almost all of his buddies hate Israel. He doesn't want to feel like the odd one out. That's not the only thing, though: if he truly didn't harbor some hatred in his heart, then he'd be able to stand up to it, but just going along with the crowd, with his buddies... it's an easy out for him. To me, that is the biggest cowardice of all. Knowing where antisemitism leads... for him to just laugh and go along with his Jew hating friends... it's sickening.

So... long message... After having brain surgery early last year, they kept me on the PICC line from the hospital so I could administer my own broad spectrum antibiotics through the line. Now, as you know, they give you tons of saline to flush the line, but also heparin to avoid clotting. I was using both, and home health care was coming once a week to clean the dressing and check up on everything. But even with all that - after about three weeks or so, when I was sitting down to use the CADD pump to infuse the antibiotics, I was getting this really weird sensation... Nothing I'd ever felt before in my life. It was like an electric shock or something. (I couldn't tell where it was coming from.) I knew something was off, called, and they said it sounded normal. Okay. But then the next day, when I started to infuse with the pump, it started again - this kind of electric shock. And when the pump started, it got to the point it was actually painful. That's when I went in. I wanted them to check the PICC line, had a nurse come in and ask questions, but said it was okay. (I didn't know at the time, but I should've asked for an X-ray - they use a few other methods, but X-ray is the best to check alignment.) But then over the next week, I kept having these shocks - that's when my right arm started to swell up. Went in. They did an ultrasound and that's when they said I had a clot. Thankfully, it wasn't too bad. And only then did they have the PICC nurse remove the line and then put it back in. Oh, and I was always sleeping on my back, so... I think it was just a problem with how it was inserted the first time. And I was given a blood thinner, but that's only to prevent new clots from forming. So... if you're having problems, insist on an X-ray to check the PICC line - and even get them to reposition. (They might say they can use an ECG - but the best is to have an X-ray!) For me, I think the tip location (where the end is in your chest) was off. Because the shocking sensation I was feeling - I would bet on it - was from the CADD pumping air into my heart. You are supposed to prime the CADD pump, and you'll see the little champagne bubbles in the line - the priming is to get those out. I was doing that - priming the pump, but still had issues. So the only thing left was it being misaligned/migrating either from the beginning or just from movement or something. Looking back, my symptoms were those weird electric shocks, pressure in my head, and pain in my neck and shoulders. I just hope and pray you can get an X-ray to check the PICC line - from everything I read, these things just get misaligned a lot. They're awesome - it was great to have, but they can be really, really touchy.

Being rushed to the hospital after blood work and swollen right arm is showing a high potential for blood clots. TPN at home may not work, at least with the current PICC line.

There is no other country that is as scrutinized as Israel. None. And so far, no international legal body has said Israel is "committing a genocide" in Gaza. And what genocide has there ever been in history where the so-called victims of said genocide... have a higher population AFTER said "genocide"? It's a farce. An absolute farce. When the Gazans came in and attempted a genocide - raping, killing, and then kidnapping Jews back to Gaza, where men, women, and children CELEBRATED this... and the rest of the world immediately began to blame Israel, I don't remember anyone stopping Muslim comedians from performing? China, who commits far more human rights abuses, isn't as scrutinized to such an unfair degree as Israel. Imagine if, in the UK, comedy clubs started banning Chinese comedians? Or what about all the human rights abuses by Muslims? Too many to count, right? Imagine if Muslim comedians were banned from performing in UK clubs? Blacklisted, even? Won't happen to either group, and anyone with a brain knows why. At the end of the day, everyone who is an antizionist is really, underneath, a Jew-hater. That has become quite clear over the past two and a half years.

It does bother me that comedy clubs that used to book me have stopped since I’ve been more vocal about antisemitism. And it’s upsetting how many comedian friends I’ve lost also. Especially those who stand up for every other minority group. Ah well.

And as someone who has worked with many immigrants over the years, those who worked hard and came here legally, and who were deeply grateful for the opportunity and privilege, it is sad and upsetting to see what the former administration did. Allowing people into the country who hate it and what we stand for, who break the law, enter unlawfully, and then demand that we house them in five-star hotels and pay their bills while so many Americans struggle, is deeply troubling. He's a great conversationalist, has the stamina to have these deep dives for hours, and was one of the first on the podcasting scene. But I agree: his curiosity is off the charts, but his knowledge is a mile wide and an inch deep. And even worse, as you said, his discernment. His beliefs are nothing more than what you'd find from someone who leans center left - more left than center. And when push comes to shove, he waffles - is far more diplomatic to whomever he's speaking to at the moment, than revealing and standing strong with his own beliefs.

@shevereshtus Rogan lacks knowledge and discernment, and he outsources his thinking to his status seeking pretend-smart friends like Dave Smith, Kurt Metzger and Darryl Cooper. If one lacks integrity and decency, piling onto the anti-Jewish bandwagon is a way to get clout among dull morons.
