That is actually a good point as Jordan is probably the weakest country in the entire ME. Now ask yourselves: how is it that one of the weakest and poorest countries in the world hasn’t been overrun by terrorists, ISIS, or various Shiite militias—despite having a Palestinian majority? It’s because it signed a peace agreement with Israel. Israel helps protect it, and supplies water, electricity, agricultural and industrial goods—in practice, much of what allows Jordan to remain stable and independent, rather than becoming a proxy for more extreme forces.
