Severe weather in the forecast could include damaging winds of up to 80 mph. That means that we could expect downed trees throughout the District. Wait until after the storm passes—and if you see downed trees in your neighborhood, report to 311. In an emergency, call 911.

Some residents have asked what happens when it rains while sections of the Potomac Interceptor remain open during repairs. With severe weather/thunderstorms in the forecast today, here’s what to know about how these sections are secured & why rainwater intrusion remains minimal.

In my 2017 State of the District address, I announced that we were creating the DC Infrastructure Academy. A promise I delivered on before my 2018 address. Today marks 8 years of DCIA—which has served over 5,000 residents and counting.

We continue to make progress on the cleanup of areas impacted by the collapse of the Potomac Interceptor. Work remains on target to complete the emergency repair in mid-March to return the full flow to the pipe. dcwater.com/about-dc-water…

BIG PEPCO NEWS: If you're angry about high electricity bills, the D.C. Court of Appeals just tossed out the Public Service Commission's last two-year rate increase (for years 2024-2026) for Pepco on procedural grounds. BUT: I'm told no immediate bill changes for D.C. customers.

I've been hearing lots of complaints about high Pepco bills recently, and D.C. councilmembers are sharing in the pain. "I just got an $1,100 Pepco bill so I am beyond pissed with utilities right now. My house is at 68 degrees," said @CMRobertWhiteDC. For @CMLewisGeorgeW4: $899.
