I appreciate Brandon’s respect shown in this column but I wanna be clear my streak of calling post season basketball ended but not because I was told we’re making a change. FOX simply stopped airing the games I called for the past 5 years and those games are now on NBC/Peacock and in our biz? It happens🤷‍♂️. He’s right I’m a little nostalgic and spending this week and most of the spring and summer recharging my battery. Yeah at 70 your outlook changes and it should, but I’m excited about the fall & winter of 26/27🏈🏀 for all that follows. I’m enjoying watching yes, but I’m hopeful this is a short stay on the bench during Championship Week. 🎧🎙️📺

As jersey numbers were announced, I reflected on the next number to be retired by Penn State. Only #22 is retired now. In honor of Evan Royster (who held the all-time rushing mark for 15 yrs till Kaytron Allen broke it) & John Cappelletti (the only Heisman winner in school history). The answer: #14 A parade of greats have donned the #14. From Chuck Fusina who lead PSU to the national championship game in New Orleans to Todd Blackledge who won that elusive first title in New Orleans to Anthony Morelli who was the first QB with a tat to Sean Clifford who holds every school passing record after an illustrious 7-yr career here. 🏈🔵⚪️
