Weekly Weigh-In is tomorrow 👀😁 I still feel like crap; I’m really really frustrated that this sickness stuck around as long as it did; but after today I think I’m near the end of it. Anyway, here are some of the things on my mind the night before the weigh-in, I’m really upset about missing the trip I had planned for this weekend, but I know it’s the right thing to do for my health. “He’s not taking it seriously” - tell that to the (much bigger) version of myself that I was a year ago. Listen; I’m just trying to be real. I’m not trying to make excuses, even if I have. This past month was hard for me, especially sharing it the way that I did. But regardless of that I’m not gonna let that low point or anyone on the internet take away from the progress that I’ve made over the YEARS of struggling and learning that I’ve gone through. I will never give up on this journey, I still plan to hit 399 by the end of April; I have a plan, I have a schedule, and I’m going to do my best to follow it. I apologize if this feels like giving attention directly to the negativity, but I felt like these thoughts / this response and the *hope* that I feel right now regarding my journey really need to be shared. I’m PROUD of what I’ve accomplished, even knowing I still have a long ways to go. Arnold Recap / Sitting in Discomfort with the Scale This past weekend genuinely helped me love myself more. I feel so unbelievably blessed by the interactions that I had with people this weekend and getting to meet and spend time with friends in person with such a blessing to me itself. Even after a months that has been a very low point for me, continuing to be shown so much encouragement was so odd because I felt undeserving of it; but I was genuinely uplifted by it at the same time. So thankful for the time I spent with Sal, Simon, and Jacob this weekend along with all of the other creator friends and awesome people that I had the pleasure of meeting. I went in for a routine oil change, and somehow it turned into a full-on sales pitch about my tires being “dangerously bald.” The technician actually walked me outside and pointed at them like I don’t see my own car every day. I drive it daily — it handles fine, no slipping, no strange noises, nothing. Just because the tread isn’t super thick doesn’t automatically make them unsafe. They kept pressing the issue, saying it was a liability and acting overly concerned about my safety, when it really felt like they were just trying to get a few hundred more dollars out of me. One of them even said I shouldn’t drive it far, which makes no sense considering I drove there without any problems. If the tires were truly that bad, wouldn’t I have noticed something by now? When I told them clearly that I wasn’t buying new tires, their whole attitude shifted. They became stiff and quiet, probably annoyed that the upsell didn’t work. It really seems like some shops see someone come in for basic service and immediately look for ways to create extra “issues” to make more money. So I paid for the oil change and left with my supposedly “bald” tires that still grip the road just fine. They can call them unsafe all they want — I’m not spending money just because someone in a shop uniform says I should. By christiana and Jacob

Just heard from my husband's family in Cuba. 5 cities of people protesting against the Cuban regime. Begging for Trump not to take another week. Help them now. It's crazy how our own American citizens hate President Trump, while other countries look at him as a savior. This is like something I have never seen. Defender of freedom and leader of liberation. My husby and I went out to dinner last night, and the bill came out to $200. I left a $50 tip on the table, thinking that was pretty reasonable. But the waiter looked at it and flat-out refused to take it. ​He told us that if we weren’t willing to leave at least $85, we shouldn’t be eating out in the first place. ​I was honestly caught off guard. I felt embarrassed sitting there, like we’d done something wrong. We weren’t trying to be cheap or disrespectful — I genuinely thought $50 was a fair tip for that bill. Now I keep replaying the whole thing in my head, wondering if I misjudged it and questioning whether $50 really wasn’t enough.😱 By Angela mcnutt
