Good Morning Xitterverse friends! The Bison herd has arrived in Washington, DC!! As part of the United States' 10th anniversary of the National Bison Legacy Act this May, which made bison the official national mammal of the US, these incredible bison statues will "graze" on the National Mall as part of the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History's new bison exhibit. We are supposed to be there for the installation ceremony... but it means we have to go to D.C. ugh 24hrs/TNTFIU HUHAWD.

NEW: Social media philanthropist, Jimmy Darts, helps raise $150,000 for a struggling family in Oklahoma. The young boy had previously gone viral after he told Darts that God had been good to him despite his family's struggles. "Amanda shared with me that she is only a month away from homelessness. She has no car, no money for groceries, and is doing everything she can to care for her children and grandchildren," Darts said on GoFundMe. Kyla and I had a great time this morning at the World’s Largest Rattlesnake Roundup in Sweetwater, Texas in the great 19th District. What a fun morning and great community tradition.  Gotta be tough in WTX - but this festival also does so much good for the world! Did you know that milking venom from snakes like these can help save lives in the production of antivenom, and also provides key ingredients used in the development of innovative pharmaceutical drugs? Let’s go Sweetwater! Grateful to Miss Karen Hunt and the Sweetwater Chamber for helping get this lined up. We’ve got a busy few weeks planned - looking forward to seeing you out there soon!
