@northernassist I need help with a ticket refund. I was on the train between Gainsborough & Lincoln and purchased on the app. When presenting for the conductor the app showed it as failed, so I bought a paper ticket, but the original went through. I approached station (cont)

@northernassist The problem is both now show as used as the station staff got me to scan the app ticket instead of the paper one in the belief the office could refund the paper ticket (which they couldn’t)

@inquisitor111 @northernassist Yes I know. What is annoying is that in the lead up, it was sold as a good thing to benefit travellers when clearly it does not but it does benefit the ticket issuer. Total swizz.

@DDubya82 @northernassist Hi. The freeze on fares is regarding the national fares increase for 2026, on regulated fares. The change over the weekend was a change to fare structure as part of the plans to integrate rail services in Greater Manchester with the Bee Network.

@northernassist supposedly, rail fares are frozen, but yet mines gone up. Sneaky increase under the guise of making buying tickets simpler, however a return is now the price of two singles as they’ve rounded up. This doesn’t sit well when the service supplied is mostly abysmal
