I’m extremely sad to learn that Rec Room is shutting down on June 1st. It was VR’s first social Lego-style experience. On the surface it looked pretty basic, but it gave people incredible tools to build amazing things, either alone or together, and then share them with the vr community. Some of my best VR social experiences happened in Rec Room. Games like Laser Tag and Rec Royale are still truly unforgettable for me. I even hosted a show interviewing VR developers with a team of skilled world creators in VR, which I don’t think had ever been done before we did it. In an alternate reality, Meta would have invested in Rec Room instead of making Horizon Worlds. It was the ideal ready-made social platform for younger VR audiences to hang out and build things… and at 37 years old, I found it incredibly fun too. Definitely going back in before the doors close. Extremely sad day for vr.

@DEFICIT_Games VR Skater is amazing!! WOW! I am playing it for the first time on PSVR2 and I am blown away. I haven’t had this much fun in VR in years. You guys knocked it out of the park. I was so sore the first day lol but now I feel great and I’m getting even better. Bravo to the team! 10/10
