Reception of continuous wave signal from the old 🇨🇳 🛰 FengYun-1D on 480.019 MHz, with strong QRM on 480 MHz from the USB port, where my @airspy_com R2 sdr was connected. Besides, there is DVB-T tv channel 22, centered on 482 MHz (from 478 MHz to 486 MHz). Replay of recorded IQ.

The station receives pretty good.

It is 433 MHz groundplane made by Delock.

Installed my TinyGS station in Oreoi on Evia. The station is receiving nearly 1500 packets in 24 h.

@ibelings @MiniCircuits Nice antenna. I have installed lots of them. But never found it in the surplus market.

Bought the R&S HE600 with no power inserter, but found a IN500 in the junk box. Will have to replace the @MiniCircuits DC bias-T that is inside to cover 8GHz. Swept this one and it is not too bad.

Unfortunately, reception of Meteorological satellites on the L-band is impossible at my QTH in 🇬🇷.😦 According to the Nat'l Frequency Allocation Regulation, the 1700-1710 MHz frequency band is also used by radio stations for point-to-point radio links. Thanks @Sgoudelis for info.

The same results were obtained with @airspy_com R2, @rtlsdrblog v3 and v4, MSI RSP1 clone, even with the conventional IC-R8500 receiver. I also checked a TP-LINK Wi-Fi antenna with a @Nooelec LNA, but the FM stations were always there. 😱😢

I guess I have no chance of getting 🛰️ images on L-band at my QTH in Thessaloniki, 🇬🇷. The whole FM band can be heard on 1.7 GHz. Screenshot from my setup with Discovery dish and @airspy_com Mini showing the signals from 🛰️ Meteor-M N2-4 and five FM radio stations 😱😢... ⬇️

Satellite imagery reveals a likely decommissioned Pak Army Circularly Disposed Antenna Array (CDAA) HF/DF node located near Rahwali Cantt. in Gujranwala with ~40 antenna elements, located approximately 75km from the Indo-Pak IB.

Approx. coverage of #PLAAF Over-the-horizon surface wave #Radar. It is drawn assuming that the antenna array (2x LPDA) has a beamwidth of 90°, 400 km detection range (radius) is based on Russian Podsolnukh-E*, and I believe that 3 of the 5 systems are derivatives of this radar.
