@DGChristensen

I pay my own rent. I live alone. My socks match. I'm aggressively independent, and that includes politics.

@CmChaotic I’m in Surrey BC and I’ve seen the rents go up a similar amount in a shorter period of time. Vacancy rates are a fraction of a percent and have been for a few years. We bring in many fold the amount of people France does per capita. But we don’t build in advance.

Only 6% of over 6000 respondents have ever experienced someone in blackface. Most of the stories were from the 80's or earlier. Trudeau is the anomaly, not the rest of Canada. We didn't need a survey to prove it, but there it is. #cdnpoli #BlackfaceTrudeau

@LizaVespi @jamesdifiore @theJagmeetSingh If you want to become a police officer or ride a motorcycle we give groups special treatment in this country. What Quebec is trying to go in a different direction. And it would be fair, in contrast to the rest of the country.

Quebec is always the red headed step child during elections, but @theJagmeetSingh is over-strategizing. He wouldn't be allowed to teach in Quebec , but can't muster the courage to appeal this law. He should though, to signal to voters in the rest of Canada. #cdnpoli #elxn43
Althia Raj@althiaraj

@theJagmeetSingh tells Tout le monde en parle that he would not — "non" — appeal Quebec’s secularism law. I do not recall Singh saying this before.

@LizaVespi @jamesdifiore @theJagmeetSingh The law in Quebec doesn’t prevent you from wearing whatever you like once you’re off work. I’ve had to wear a uniform. Religious symbols would have been unacceptable. (I’m sure exceptions would be be made if I were Muslim or Sikh.)

@Joseph4GI Run ladies. If the doctor finds out your body has smegma, don’t walk. Run!

Smegma is a carcinogen. Apparently this is what this MD learned in 11 of post-graduate school. American patients are in trouble. #i2
Dr. Neema, MD@NeemaMD

@Shawty944 @payowlaa Actually research shows there is benefit to circumcision. Not only does it decrease the chance of contracting STDs, it only decreases the chances of having penile cancer. Smegma is a carcinogen.

@jamesdifiore @theJagmeetSingh The people of Quebec feel differently from yourself and I find their feelings easier to relate with. It would only offend me if the law didn’t apply to everyone. Or if we gave special treatment to one religion or group. (Unless we had a state religion.)

@DGChristensen @theJagmeetSingh I'm an atheist and I still think it is a bad law. Unless there has been a tangible negative impact documented of people who wear religious symbols damaging the public service arena, I don't really see why it matters.

@DrJacobsRad I agree. And I thought we already had comprehensive gun control. I didn’t think we needed bans. Nor was I aware we had a problem with AR-15’s. Have they consulted with the RCMP?

To try to link Canadian Conservatives to the murder of children and minorities is sickening. It shows a level of partisanship that we as Canadians should never sink to. Over 35% of Canadians INCLUDING minorities identify as Conservative. This is shameful behaviour. #Cdnpoli
Bill Blair@BillBlair

Firearms like the the AR-15 aren’t toys. Rather, they’re designed to be efficient in the killing of enemy combatants. Despite being used to target schoolchildren, religious minorities & LGBT people, Conservatives want to make these rifles more accessible. youtu.be/eBFiRP7ypI4

@jamesdifiore @theJagmeetSingh I misunderstood. I thought red headed stepchild was derogatory. I would not want someone in a nun’s habit teaching at a tax payer funded school. In a saner world this would not be a controversial position.

@DGChristensen @theJagmeetSingh We are saying the same thing but in different ways. When I say red-headed step child, I just mean there are different rules/approaches to win seats there that wouldn't work anywhere else. We disagree re the law though.
