Proud to see this come together. After nearly 20 years operating separately, Ramsgate Youth is now being reintegrated into Ramsgate FC. Huge credit to Ian Syvret and Phil Adams for what they’ve built. What matters most is that they trust us to carry it forward 🐏🐏🐏
Ramsgate Football Club@RamsgateFC

Ramsgate Youth to Become Part of Ramsgate FC Ramsgate Football Club is pleased to confirm that Ramsgate Youth FC, which became separate from the main club nearly 20 years ago, will become part of Ramsgate FC from June 2026. For clarity, Ramsgate Youth FC has operated as a completely separate club during that time, with both organisations running independently, each with its own management and facilities. The main club’s youth section, which included nearly 70 teams during the 2025/26 season, has continued to operate solely under the Ramsgate FC name. This move brings the two strands back together, and we’re excited to welcome the players, coaches and families of Ramsgate Youth into the club - strengthening the pathway for young people in the area and building on the strong foundations already in place. Ian Syvret has been at the heart of Ramsgate Youth for nearly 30 years, and his contribution to local football cannot be overstated. As he steps away from the game, we thank him for everything he has given to hundreds of young players and the wider community. Reflecting on his time at the club, Ian said: “I have seen over many years, many hundreds of children enjoying youth football, assisted by coaches giving up many hours of their spare time - that’s been a great achievement by our club.” We also want to place on record our thanks to Phil Adams, whose commitment and work behind the scenes has been invaluable. In particular, Phil has played a key role in securing the long-term sporting future of the Walton Road site, which will now form an important part of the club’s youth provision. Chairman James Lawson said: “This is a really positive step for everyone involved. Ian and Phil have built something that genuinely matters in the local community, and our role now is to carry that forward. With the addition of these teams, the club will be approaching 80 teams next season across all areas - including inclusive football, walking football, our women’s section, academy teams, youth teams and the first team. We’re focused on creating clear pathways for players of all ages and abilities, and making sure every child has the opportunity to enjoy and progress in the game.” We look forward to continuing that work and building something even stronger together. Up the Rams.

A Message from the Chairman to the fans. When I took the club over at Christmas 2019, we were in a dire relegation battle at the bottom of Step 4. My overriding aim then — and now — has always been to match the Boys of ’72 and return this club to Step 2. In those early days, we had to release a whole squad of players and, much like yesterday, local teenagers stepped in to represent the club. When I looked around the stadium back then however, it wasn’t the lack of players that struck me — it was the empty stands. If we were ever going to match the Boys of ’72, who reached the highest level this club has ever played at, we needed supporters first. So we opened the club up to the town. And I’m overwhelmed by how the town has responded. What has followed has been incredible. 1,600 at Wimbledon. 3,000 in a home FA Cup first round win 3,000+ sell-out derbies. 1,000 at Hythe celebrating our title win Home play-off games. 1,000 at Aveley for a cup final Home attendances consistently over 1,000. Nearly 1,000 kids in our youth section. Hundreds in our holiday programmes. Post-16 academy squads based full-time at the club. But, despite all of that, it was yesterday that reinvigorated me. Just like in 2019, we had a team of young players giving everything for us. The difference this time? They had 1,300 Ramsgate supporters behind them. Kids on bouncy castles. Families enjoying the spring sunshine. Bars and kitchens full. Ramsgate shirts and scarves everywhere — even on the dogs. Two Ramsgate sides represented us in cup finals before the game. An all-Ramsgate U16 derby took place on the pitch after. A packed clubhouse celebrated the players’ awards into the evening. That is what this club has become. Sitting here on a spring Sunday morning, I genuinely feel we now have the strongest base we’ve ever had to push towards Step 2. We’ve built this platform alongside a sustainable football model that ensures we can compete without risking the club’s future. This summer, subject to final planning, we move forward again. We are one of the few clubs at this level operating around an annual accounting break-even position, in a landscape where many clubs sustain significant losses. That discipline is central to protecting the club’s long-term future. Many great people have played their part in getting us here, with Ian Heath a constant at my side. But make no mistake — this platform has been built by you, the supporters. Now we move into a huge week as we appoint the management team to lead the next phase of this journey. The goal hasn’t changed. We are building towards Step 2 — together. Come on you Rams! James

Honestly such a inspiring performance by the young lads to only lose 2-0 to a proper senior side Had some gut to do what you did, spectacular owner, as we look towards the season ahead with a more experience coach to hopefully take us to Step 2 COYR 🐏❤️🤍

Squad run down to nothing, with 7 teenagers stepping up vs Hashtag today. Lost 2-0, but they did the club proud. Big week ahead as we look to recruit and build to compete next season. 🐏

Club Statement – Thank you Lee Martin Ramsgate FC will begin the process of appointing a new first team manager following the departure of Lee Martin. As we reflect on the season, it feels the right time to provide an update on the managerial position. When Lee Martin came into the club, we were in a difficult position and facing the real possibility of relegation. His remit was simple - to keep us in the league. Lee achieved that. Results improved quickly and, at one stage, we even found ourselves looking towards the play-off places, which is a credit to the work done during that period. However, a challenging recruitment period leading into March meant that, over the final six weeks of the season, the playing budget was significantly underspent. That period has been reflected in our recent run of results, with six defeats from our last seven games, including this week’s cup final. This decision reflects the direction we want to take as a club, not any one result. As a club, our culture has always been about looking forwards. It’s a mindset that has taken us from the brink of Step 5 to competing at Step 3, and now to a position where we are able to look towards Step 2. As planned, Seb Tidey will step down from his role on the committee at the end of the season. A significant part of Seb’s work with the club has been contributing to the development of a new strategic document, which sets out a very specific plan for the footballing side of the club. To give ourselves the best possible chance of success on the pitch, we believe it is important to explore the market and identify the right manager to deliver that plan. One thing that remains incredible is our supporters. Their backing is the reason we now find ourselves knocking on the door of promotion to Step 2, and we are unwavering in our determination to match their ambition and push this club forward. We would like to place on record our thanks to Lee for the job he has done. He came in at a difficult time, helped realign our objectives, and ensured the club moves forward from a stable position. Seb Tidey, Tom Hadler and Mark Buckingham will take charge of the remaining two games of the season. The club will now invite applications for the role of first team manager from candidates with experience of building teams capable of challenging for promotion to Step 2. Applications should be submitted to chairman@ramsgate-fc.co.uk

@DGLawso2010 James, read and digested your statement. We've oxymoroned (sorry, poor language device!) this season. Massive highs, hoofing lows. But, every human at this club believes we have the best chairmain, with the best vision, to pull us through.. we're here now, to stay and go forward.

We were left very short on options today, but the staff and local young lads who stepped up have done this club proud. 1,300 fans backing them was incredible and two coaches heading to Canvey next week says everything. Big week off the pitch as we look to appoint a new manager.

We really need the Town behind Lee and the players on Saturday. It took years of hard work to reach this level and we only stay here by standing together.
Ramsgate Football Club@RamsgateFC

“We need the crowd to be the 12th man.” Lee Martin Saturday’s a big one. Lee’s first home game in charge and the lads have been flat out on the training ground all week. Now it’s time to bring that energy to Southwood. We’ve seen what this place can be when the fans get behind the team. Let’s make it loud, let’s make it Ramsgate. Ramsgate vs @cheshuntfcscore 📅 Saturday, 8th November | ⏰ 3pm 🏟️ Southwood Stadium Let’s be the 12th man. ❤️🤍
