Ramsgate Youth to Become Part of Ramsgate FC Ramsgate Football Club is pleased to confirm that Ramsgate Youth FC, which became separate from the main club nearly 20 years ago, will become part of Ramsgate FC from June 2026. For clarity, Ramsgate Youth FC has operated as a completely separate club during that time, with both organisations running independently, each with its own management and facilities. The main club’s youth section, which included nearly 70 teams during the 2025/26 season, has continued to operate solely under the Ramsgate FC name. This move brings the two strands back together, and we’re excited to welcome the players, coaches and families of Ramsgate Youth into the club - strengthening the pathway for young people in the area and building on the strong foundations already in place. Ian Syvret has been at the heart of Ramsgate Youth for nearly 30 years, and his contribution to local football cannot be overstated. As he steps away from the game, we thank him for everything he has given to hundreds of young players and the wider community. Reflecting on his time at the club, Ian said: “I have seen over many years, many hundreds of children enjoying youth football, assisted by coaches giving up many hours of their spare time - that’s been a great achievement by our club.” We also want to place on record our thanks to Phil Adams, whose commitment and work behind the scenes has been invaluable. In particular, Phil has played a key role in securing the long-term sporting future of the Walton Road site, which will now form an important part of the club’s youth provision. Chairman James Lawson said: “This is a really positive step for everyone involved. Ian and Phil have built something that genuinely matters in the local community, and our role now is to carry that forward. With the addition of these teams, the club will be approaching 80 teams next season across all areas - including inclusive football, walking football, our women’s section, academy teams, youth teams and the first team. We’re focused on creating clear pathways for players of all ages and abilities, and making sure every child has the opportunity to enjoy and progress in the game.” We look forward to continuing that work and building something even stronger together. Up the Rams.
