This #WorldAIDSDay, I’m reflecting on the AIDS crisis, thinking of those we lost & those that deserve gratitude yet often experience erasure. HIV stigma is rife both in LGBTQIA+ & wider populations. To reduce stigma, we need to push for increased #HIVAwareness e.g., #UequalsU

Today is #WorldAIDSDay We’ve made remarkable progress in the fight against HIV – but stigma continues to hold us back and that's completely unacceptable. Everyone has a part to play in tackling stigma by telling as many people as possible the facts about HIV today.

promoting HIV testing for all because of increasing infections among heterosexuals does not downplay the fact that MSM remain at greatest risk of seroconversion but addresses years of gay-specific messaging that has fostered a sense of social immunity to HIV among heterosexuals.

This #WorldAIDSDay acknowledging our collective responsibility to tackle #HIV stigma is crucial. If somebody is living with HIV and their viral load is undetectable, HIV cannot be transmitted. Education is key to eradicating HIV stigma. #UequalsU
