Tonight’s the night! It’s Family Movie night. Our concession is ready. Don’t forget to bring a blanket, sleeping bag and/or pillow to sit on! Admission is $2. People under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Movie starts at 6:00 pm. Can’t wait to see you there!

Students in grade 3 have been exploring Minecraft Education. They were tasked with building a bridge in Minecraft, using their knowledge and understanding of bridges. Today they presented to the class. @DHSPaterson @DHarkness_CBE

Grade 3 Ss have been learning about building, structures and bridges. Ss worked in small groups to build a bridge and test it for stability and strength. What kind of a bridge is it? Who much weight could it hold? @DHSPaterson @DHarkness_CBE

Students went to The Flight Hangar museum to learn about flight. They saw planes, built planes, tested and heard stories of pilots who fought and still fly to help keep peace. ⁦@DHarkness_CBE⁩ #WeAreCBE

We are learning about imagery in grade 3. With yesterday being the first day of spring, students used loose parts to create something they hear, smell, see, feel or taste in spring. @DHSPaterson @DHarkness_CBE @PlayPerspectiv1

Grade 3 students have been learning figurative language. They were challenged to write a haiku poem that contained a simile. It was hard work but students met the challenge. @DHSPaterson @DHarkness_CBE #wearecbe

Grade 3’s got their heart rates up and had so much fun playing basketball this morning during our phys.ed. class! @DHSPaterson @DHarkness_CBE

It was Winter Walk Day and Grade 3’s got outside to participate! Although it was a bit chilly, it is always nice to get out of the classroom and move our bodies. @DHSPaterson @DHarkness_CBE #wearecbe

For “World Read Aloud Day” students tuned in to hear David A Robertson read his book “On the Trapline” and answer questions. As always, the presentation was great and @DaveAlexRoberts was engaging and informative! @DHSPaterson @DHarkness_CBE

Which pillar will hold the most mass? Why did the cylindrical pillar hold more mass than the triangular and rectangular pillars? Students worked with partners to build and test pillars to see which one was the strongest. @DHSPaterson @DHarkness_CBE #WeAreCBE
