They removed the word "racism" 109 times from a college textbook in Florida. They erased an entire chapter on Race and Ethnicity. They reduced Shirley Chisholm, a trailblazer who broke barriers for every Black woman who came after her, to a single footnote. You cannot erase racism by removing the word from a textbook. As a disabled person and a woman of almost 50, I can tell you the world will drop you like a hot rock the moment your labor is no longer exploitable. And if you think the medical industry will help you? LOL, no. Or that the ADA has any teeth to fight for you? LOL, also no.

A company had unlimited PTO for all employees.
An employee had an emergency and took PTO
to attend to her son in hospital.
Her manager approved it.
While she was on PTO, the CEO called her the following day.
“We have an urgent project,” said the CEO.
“I can’t leave my son alone in the hospital. I’m a single parent,” she replied.
The CEO ordered her to return to work immediately
or risk losing her job.
The mother chose to stay with her son.
After three days in the hospital, she reported back to work.
The CEO handed her a termination letter.
Unlimited PTO without protection isn’t a benefit—it’s a lie dressed up as policy.

Once again there is a large planter on an accessibilty ramp. This one is on Junction Blvd and 34th Ave. Such disrespect! This keeps happening along the Open Street and probably all over the City. Something must be done to prevent this from happening. Maybe remove them!

2 years ago now. And what are medical schools teaching their students? To explicitly not speak about Israel/Palestine because it’s “unprofessional”. Let me make it clear - to be against genocide is the most professional position to take as a doctor. End the genocide in Gaza.

Photo of indoor air filter used in a home in Imperial Beach. House is on the beach and nearly 3 miles from major freeway. This is after 4 months. Disgusting...but better trapped on this surface than your lungs? All homes/schools should use filtration all the time. We filter our water before we drink it....why not filter the air we breathe..Reduce carcinogens, toxic compounds, airborne pathogens. Common sense. Just do it.

When I was 19, a guy grabbed my breast in a nightclub so I slapped him across the face immediately.

Seatbelts aren't designed for breasts.
