@Jo_WhiteheadUK We bought a deep fat fryer from B&M for about £20 and got a recipe for batter off net and our fish and chips Friday tea now costs about £5 (depending of fish type) - was running late yesterday so went to the chippy and 2 fish and 1 chips was £20.70.

Just at the chippy, £3.25 for a regular chips. Over a fiver for large. As a kid the chippy was a cheap treat.! don’t blame them for prices at all: energy, ingredients etc have all increased but come on, they are just chips! 😠

@simonnread Sadly there’s piccalilli and piccalilli ! Some can be seen from space they are so fluorescent yellow ! Definitely worth a trip to a decent farm shop or I have made my own a couple of times - not difficult 👍

Friday lunch is an M&S pork pie and home-grown tomatoes. The pie is OK, but the tomatoes - the first time I've ever grown any (from plants that were a gift from treasured friends) are absolutely delicious - bursting with flavour and much more enjoyable than shop-bought tomatoes.

Can i say @EE is bloody amazing.. my contract run out i was paying £10 a month unlimited everything.. so today they re-newed it and im still only paying £10 a month. They didnt want me to run out of data while i was in hospital. Thats why ive been with them for over 30 years.

@AasmahMir Human urine poured along the border - mankind is a foxes biggest predator and any smell of them and they steer clear. Worked for us when we kept chickens after losing a few to a fox.

May I have your tried and tested methods of keeping foxes out of your garden please? (there is no food source)

British Gas really are a crock of crap! Moved into my new flat two months ago and it has a smart meter, first bill £18, second one £16. DD was set up as £25, now they are trying to increase it to £69 and are refusing to put it back to £25, saying £40 is the minimum

@Kimbohud I do laser engraving on slate and sometimes I mess up - so I sand it out using normal sanding paper and a rotary sander - might work for this problem??

Had a bad day today - have stupidly wrecked our outdoor slate slabs by not only.. 1. Using the wrong stuff 2. Not doing a test patch!! I'm left with badly stained slabs one half of the patio & grouted unsealed the other side!! #Grok can you help?

@OctopusEnergy @agile_phil interesting email this morning regarding the new Streams system - just a bit concerned about any possible impact on our batteries? My car manufacturer recommends not leaving the car sat at 100% soc - would welcome more information.
