Very happy to add a 1st Edition 2nd Impression of Tolkien and Gordon’s edition of Sir Gawain to my collection. 1st Impressions tend to cost more than $1,000, so this is probably the closest I’ll get in this edition

This went pretty crazy lol. Guys, I know about D-Day and WWII. I got it. I know about the weather issues related to the invasion. But aren't we pushing it with WWII? Every story has been played out numerous times with documentaries, shows, and movies. I love the history but man, let's ugh move to something new and different. I feel like we're "stretching" things a bit here. Also, Brendan Fraser. An all time favorite of mine, so I'll probably end up watching this movie specifically because he's in it. I can't wait for the Mummy 4 to come out!!!
Dominick J. Catterson@DJCatterson_

@metoffice I love Brendan Fraser, but did they seriously make a movie about the weather for D-Day? A movie about the weather...

The first trailer for ‘Pressure’ is here, the film which tells the story of the most important weather forecast; the D-Day forecast. Andrew Scott stars as Group Captain James Stagg – the Met Office meteorologist tasked with delivering the weather forecast and helping shape D-Day's plans. In cinemas 9 September. #pressuremovie @StudiocanalUK

@jacqueboatman I’ve got about a dozen Tolkien shelves right now, most of which are in disarray but here’s the only two that aren’t a disaster, which also happen to be a totally random collection of books 😂 📚

@The8bitidiot Racists? No, we're just tired of white characters being deliberately replaced with black actors for the sole purpose of "diversity". It's not just this show, but this show gained a lot of attention because Snape is an iconic character in the story. It's ridiculous.

Night time reading, @AuthorDanBrown . I've actually never read any of your books. I've had them on my shelf in it's entirety, but tonight is the night I start to read your Langdon series. I'm starting out of order because my copy of Angel's & Demons is damaged, I found out.

@ChickfilA I would really love it if someone, anyone could explain to me why my wife was banned from using your app? She talked to someone but all they say is read the email, she has yet to receive. The only thing she would be guilty of is buying too much of your food.

Bad history. The crusades did not save Europe or western civilisation. The first crusade was about Anatolia and subsequent Levantine crusades were about bolstering and defending newly acquired territories. They also weren’t a response to the Islamic expansion in the 7th century, but, again, to the situation in Anatolia.

Your marriage may not be perfect, but find solace that your husband didn’t call you a whore on X today 🤣

My wife was formerly promiscuous. I was a virgin. She was then radically born-again. Committed to church, evangelized constantly, Puritan books in her bedroom, prayer journals, grief over past sexual sin, etc. We got to know each other well for over a year, dated for four months, engaged for two and a half, and didn't sin sexually with one another. Our first kiss with each other was at the altar on our wedding day (reaction pic attached!). We've been married for over five years now, and she's been the most wonderful and godly wife, mother to our three children, and homemaker you could imagine. She's more pure than most virgins, as biblical purity has less to with past sins (though they certainly matter) and more to do with one's current posture of the heart and daily decisions to honor the Lord (Matt. 5:8). We're far too quick to forget the story of the woman labeled as a known "sinner" (likely a prostitute) in Luke 7:36-50 who was washing Jesus' feet with her tears while kissing them too. The Pharisees were shocked that Jesus let a public sinner do this. Jesus responded with a parable about debts being forgiven and ended with this powerful conclusion: "Her many sins have been forgiven; that’s why she loved much. But the one who is forgiven little, loves little" (Luke 7:47). Everyone seems to highlight the benefits of virginity, and it certainly is a blessing. But we forget to highlight the benefits of being forgiven much as well. My wife knows the depths of Jesus' forgiveness more than most people, enabling her to more easily live out a life of passionate love for her Savior. A woman or man's past sexual sin matters. But what matters far more when it comes to deciding who to marry is if the person is truly born again, if their repentance is real, if they truly have a heart for Christ, if they truly follow Jesus and obey his commands. "God has chosen what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen what is weak in the world to shame the strong. God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world — what is viewed as nothing — to bring to nothing what is viewed as something, so that no one may boast in his presence. It is from him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became wisdom from God for us — our righteousness, sanctification, and redemption, — in order that, as it is written: 'Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.'" (1 Cor. 1:27-31) "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!" (2 Cor. 5:17)

If someone argues that a former promiscuous woman is "damaged goods" and questions whether a Christian young man should marry her, remember Rahab. She was a Canaanite prostitute but became a mother in the lineage of Jesus. God redeemed her, cleansed her, and Salmon married her.

I promised you 11 years ago when you were a little fluff, with your 1 ear up and 1 ear down, that I would get you your own fenced in yard and house. You may be a little older and a little slower, but you can still go Bear Bear 🐻. Your own yard! Bella will keep you moving too. I still have to go through and tighten it up a bit, but that's another day's job.
