GLOBAL WARMING EXPLANATION: Periodically I will post a video of a freak weather event like snow in San Bernardino or the Saudi dessert and tag it 'global warming'. I do so to highlight the insanity of the media's proclivity to blame every weather disaster on global warming. While I am skeptical of the 'science' of estimating average global temperatures over thousands of years I am willing to accept the estimate that average global temperatures have increased by 1.9° Fahrenheit since 1880. I can't help but wonder what the 'correct' temperature of the earth is. The same scientists that estimate temperatures have increased 1.9° F ALSO estimate that average global temperatures have been significantly higher and lower throughout the history of mankind. Many of us who oppose government climate policies believe the effort to 'fight' climate change is a gift to raise money. Climate experts think it would cost the US $50 Trillion to become carbon neutral by 2050 - I think it is a HUGE mistake to spend that money on various schemes. Instead, I think we should spend that money to ensure everyone has a job, a home, food, medical care, and security. Those same climate experts agree that if we reached carbon neutrality our efforts and our treasure wouldn't make a material impact on average global temperatures. So I know that freak snowstorms in San Bernardino or the Saudi dessert aren't caused by the 1.9° F in average global temperatures since 1880 - I am trying to point out the absurdity of the media's connection of every draught or flood to climate change.
