Nick is completely misidentifying the hill Dalton is willing to die on. Dalton isn’t risking his life for the right to say “the n word”. Dalton is fighting the idea that the greatest crime you can commit in today’s society is to offend a non white person. This is such a strong, pervasive issue in western countries today that a college kid in the UK just died, drowning in his own blood, because a Sikh man stabbed him and then tried to justify it by saying the kid had been racist. Think about that for a moment. The police denied a kid that had been stabbed 4 times with an 8 inch knife medical attention because a brown person claimed racism. The reason we even all say “the n word” is because we live in UNIVERSAL FEAR of the repercussions.
