Diplomatic discourse is going to the pits in our country. I urge the Zenzi Z to take it across India. Make India win against fastest and fight for it. Today current is dispensation of these parties is to enjoy government funds at their whims and fancy they talk, looking at London and Lloyd demonstrations is birthright. we must along with this also talk about their ancient India ideology regarding stopping meat shops, Machi shops, et cetera.

@YRanaraja Who the asked for your opinion? Who made you representative of “South Asian Countries”? Respectfully, you are NOBODY.
English

Dear India,
While you boast about becoming the fourth-largest economy, South Asia is on the verge of becoming one of the poorest regions in the world, largely because you are unable to resolve even basic issues with Pakistan. Your career diplomats sit at mediation meetings and begin by labeling Pakistan a terrorist nation, next time, try starting with “good morning.”
Not that we care, but your actions are impacting the entire region, which is on its way to becoming the poorest in the world.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Yours sincerely,
South Asian Countries

@ShivAroor @ndtv Surprising that they are not shooting it down comparatively very slow flying & easy targets when they capability to shoot F15E.

Very few mission profiles more 'white-knuckle' than CSAR (combat search&rescue) over Iran. With reports of 2 pilots from a downed F-15, very arresting stream of images of an American HC-130 & a pair of HH-60 Pave Hawks (?) hunting for the pilots. Iran searching too.

Please stop blaming phussai. They’re working very hard to make Bharat healthy, happy, and proud. By 2047, We’ll have the cleanest food in the world, you just wait and watch. 😎

You have the right to expose/name/shame the corrupt. The corrupt babu has a right to file an FIR. The police has a duty to probe. The court has to hear the case. They are all instruments of the state. You are alone. You have to hire a lawyer. You don't have the money. The state wins. Your right is nothing against the state's might. @vikramchandra it depends on what has been damaged. Process lines can be replaced in a quarter, but in case of air separator damage, it would take 3-4 years and huge capex. As mentioned by QE that Pearl GTL ( Gas-to-liquid) has been "extensively" damaged.
English

Even if the war ended tomorrow - and it won’t - it will take months if not years to fix this damage.

If only Indian twitterati and commentariat werent such snowflakes they would realise that China's rise was its own doing. It's rise was not an American gift. The Chinese planned well, worked well, their engineers didnt sell soap, coke or maggi or join the IAS or worse IRS. They innovated, they built, they invested, they educated their people. The Chinese miracle is of their own making. Similarly whether India will rise or not is in Indian hands. If India rises it wont be because the Americans or Europeans allowed us to or gifted it to us. And we will never rise as long as our first talking point with other countries is "transfer of tech". This is the height of imagination and profoundity of the Indian bureaucrat and techno-crat. Big powers will never allow anyone to equal them. That is a no brainer. If India has to rise, we will on our own genius or not at all. And we will have to find our own way to rise. We cant copy someone else. We must learn from others (assuming we understand we are not the repository of all wisdom in the world and get off our hobbyhorse of being vishvaguru) but we must find our own way to the top because every country has to find its own path.

JUST IN: Iran did not destroy a missile defense battery in Jordan. It destroyed the eyes of one.
That distinction is the entire story.
A THAAD battery consists of two separate systems that are operationally worthless without each other. The interceptors: six truck-mounted launchers carrying eight kill vehicles each, forty-eight rounds total, each interceptor traveling at 2,800 meters per second to execute a hit-to-kill engagement at altitudes up to 150 kilometers. And the AN/TPY-2 radar: an X-band tracking and fire control system with a surveillance range of up to 1,000 kilometers, the instrument that detects the incoming threat, builds the Target Object Map, computes the intercept solution, guides the interceptor through midcourse flight via continuous updates, and hands off to the interceptor’s own infrared seeker for terminal homing.
The interceptors are still in their launchers in Jordan. Iran did not touch them.
Iran destroyed the radar.
Satellite imagery confirmed by CNN and corroborated by Airbus satellite imagery shows debris and charred infrastructure at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base consistent with the AN/TPY-2 installation. The radar costs between $800 million and $2 billion depending on configuration. It requires approximately 100 specialist troops to operate. It took years to manufacture. The interceptors it was supposed to guide are now forty-eight kinetic kill vehicles that cannot be told where to go.
A THAAD battery without its AN/TPY-2 radar is not a degraded missile defense system. It is a weapons storage facility.
The targeting logic Iran applied here is the most technically sophisticated strike of the war. Every analyst covering this conflict has focused on the interceptor count, the launch rates, the salvo volumes. Iran focused on the sensor architecture. The interceptor is the fist. The radar is the eye. You do not punch a blind person’s fist. You close the eye.
The AN/TPY-2 uses an indium-antimonide imaging infrared seeker integrated with Kalman filter trajectory estimation to build firing solutions that the interceptor’s own guidance system cannot generate independently. In plain terms: the interceptor knows how to hit what it is pointed at. It cannot find what it is pointed at without the radar telling it where to look. Destroying the radar does not reduce THAAD’s lethality by the cost fraction of the radar versus the total battery. It reduces THAAD’s lethality to zero for the engagement area that radar was covering.
Jordan now has a gap in the layered missile defense architecture covering the northern approaches to Saudi Arabia and the eastern approaches to Israel. That gap is not a degradation. It is an opening. Every Iranian ballistic missile that can thread through the coverage void left by the Muwaffaq Salti AN/TPY-2 travels through airspace that was, seventy-two hours ago, fully covered.
Iran spent eight days being hit by the most sophisticated air campaign in history. It learned something from the experience. It stopped targeting the armor and started targeting the optics.
