Speaking on the Echo Room podcast, Adini argued that Obi’s public comments about IPOB and Kanu amounted to support for the group’s cause, although he acknowledged that Obi had not been accused of being a member of the organisation. “All you can accuse him of is sympathizing with them. That you can accuse Obi of, sympathizing with IPOB,” Adini said during the discussion. According to him, Obi had publicly questioned the basis for prosecuting Kanu and had also argued that members of IPOB should not be regarded as criminals. “Peter Obi came on air and said he doesn’t see any reason why they should prosecute Nnamdi Kanu. What has he done?” Adini stated. He noted that despite such remarks, the Nigerian government had not taken any action against the former Anambra State governor. “Nigerian government did not arrest Obi that you are an IPOB apologist. Because IPOB is actually a t+rrorist organization,” he said.
