@DFisman 2 plus years of outrunning covid and yesterday tested positive. I did everything right, continue to wear a mask, but it didn't matter in the end. It's brutal and yes, I am bitter.

Learning from pollsters today: an OVERWHELMING majority of Ontarians continue to mask in public indoor spaces. The figure is around 70%, despite no requirement to do so. Why are we allowing our province to be held back by a small and disinformed minority?

@JosephQuesnelJr @maej43 Joseph….just stop! 🛑 Who’s to say that it didn’t come from him. Responses like yours are ridiculous and she is allowed to feel as she likes.

@LPSStormWatch Our school was very fortunate to have Mrs.Neudorf as our Vice Principal. Such a kind, compassionate person.

@IntegralAnswers @BogochIsaac Thankyou for sharing your experience with covid. Some people think it’s just like the “flu.” Your detailed timeline shows how quickly a healthy, unvaccinated person can get very ill and unfortunately succumb to covid. Hoping more people read this, opening their eyes.

1) My family’s experience with COVID in Thailand. On May 30th, a part time helper, employed by us to help with laundry, cleaning and most importantly caring for my 2 1/2 year old son and 10 year old daughter came to our home. When I returned home from work, she appeared ill.

@BogochIsaac @bogochisaac I received my second Pfizer covid vaccine 2 weeks ago. How do I know if the vaccine “took” in my body? Is there even a way to know ?

Over 219,000 #COVID19 vaccines were administered in Ontario by 8pm today, with 91% as second doses. Have a lovely evening. (Lake of the Woods, ON👇)

It was our turn to get vaccinated today, so that’s what Sophie and I did - and we’re glad we did it! Find out how, when, and where you can get your shot: bit.ly/3ndZoad

I admitted a dozen COVID patients to the ICU last week that were eligible for the AstraZeneca vaccine. Didn’t get it because of (exaggerated) concerns with that vaccine, or issues with booking a vaccine. Now fighting for their lives. People: get any vaccine you can, ASAP

Charles Barkley argues NBA and NHL players should get the COVID vaccine before others because they pay more in taxes: “They deserve some preferential treatment.”

I am 66 years old. I have heart disease. I am still working in the ER. I am seeing patients with Covid. I am at higher risk but love my job and my community. I deserve a safe work environment. I deserve to be protected. There is no vaccine in sight. #stillwaiting #novaccine

@DLittleD @sdcrosby In cancer, its called a "malignant effusion" - the fluid is actually outside the lung compressing the lung tissue. This can be drained. Mucous/secretions inside the lung can not be drained, but can be removed with pulmonary toilet (coughing, physiotherapy) or with bronchoscopy

I performed ~50 #COVID19 tracheostomies. I’ve had two negative swabs, and now negative IgG. PPE works. Washing your hands works. Social distancing works.

@ABCWorldNews But yet, keep opening up for business. Makes no sense to me. It’s like living in a movie, the strong will survive and the weak will just die off. Just awful.

@BrianMitzman @sdcrosby The covid patients have thick secretions in their lungs. Is there any way to remove this fluid like they do with cancer patients?

@sdcrosby Yep. Very significant complications with long term (and even short term) endotracheal intubation in these patients.
