Hasn’t quite hit me yet but after leading the Corn Crib the past 6 years, this is my final week with the @Huskers. Between a world-record volleyball match, a world pandemic, monumental wins, heartbreaking losses, electric home games, hostile road games, coaching hires, AD changes, complete rebrands, all-nighter edits, last-second graphics… you name it, I got to be a part of it. But more importantly, I got to be a part of building a team I will forever be proud of in our Creative & Emerging Media department. The people that stepped foot in our glass ‘fish bowl’ office in North Memorial Stadium & helped build the Husker brand as a part of The Corn Crib will always mean a lot to me. I take so much pride in having assembled the group of incredibly talented people that have accomplished and will continue to accomplish so much for the Big Red. Husker Nation doesn’t see the grind behind the scenes this team endures year round to make the impact they have on Husker Athletics possible but I’ve had a front row seat the past six years and trust me when I say this: they bleed Husker Red, as do I. . . . For me, Nebraska will always be home. I grew up here, went to college here, met my wife here, started a family here and got to live out my dream job here. I owe everything to this place. Saying goodbye to family, friends, and memories at a place you love isn’t easy but change never is. . . . As for what’s next, my wife @m_fowler17 got an awesome job back in her hometown so we’ll be moving our family to Tucson, Arizona next week! #GBRAlways 🌽
