#Rebuttal The unfortunate incident involving the drowning of monkeys at Shiv Khori GSR occurred due to its structural damage caused by the flash floods and landslides of 2025.

Immediately after the incident came to notice, water supply was suspended, the Deputy Commissioner Reasi visited the site to review the situation. The GSR was subsequently cleaned, disinfected, and water quality tested as per prescribed SOPs before restoration of supply.

Temporary safety measures, including tin sheet covering and wire mesh protection, had already been put in place, while permanent restoration was under process through approved flood restoration works.
