The 90 days stamp doesn't come easy, some travellers find themselves buying the days. Those without the money to buy the days get minimum 2 weeks. And when crossing by road at Beitbridge and other border posts, you are normally asked useless questions such as why you want 90 days as if you are a terrorist. The behaviour from South African immigration officers at border points is killing business. The South African economy faces threats of investor disappointment. Although one can easily get the 90 days when flying, most African traders use road. So many reports of immigrant frustration at borders posts. It is actually far much better to travel on a permit than begging for the 90days. The current situation is Africans are disappointed in South Africa. It will kill business and drain the South African economy. As a member state of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AFCfTA), South Africa risks being isolated by Africa if this anti-immigration behaviour continues without restraint.

Starlink not being allowed to operate in South Africa just because Elon Musk is not Black is one of the most shameful things I’ve ever witnessed. Elon was born in South Africa, and has done so much good for humanity that everyone there should appreciate him. Additionally, Starlink would increase South Africa’s GDP, because fast, reliable internet access is essential for people to take part in the global economy and offer goods and services.
