WATCH: Bp Chris Warner ordains his own wife to the sacred order of priests in @the_ACNA. During the solemn declaration of oaths, she can hardly contain her LAUGHTER at the notion of swearing obedience to her husband. Bp Warner says: "Had a lot of fun preparing for that". 1/3

@papadean4 It's not DOMA canon law or official policy, which is to "recognize and honor clergy & laity who hold differing views on WO". The standing committee clarified this in August without denying the allegation. Bp Warner is framing the move as an attempt to ensure "comity" in DOMA.

@DOMA_Misconduct I have a question about Bishop Warner's requirement that "the next rector must be willing to receive Holy Communion from a female priest" as contained in the letter to Abp. Wood last year. Is this DOMA's canon law, written policy or just Bp. Warner's personal preference?

Sad News: Google reports that Incarnation Williamsburg has been "permanently closed". Last year, the parish experienced a tumultuous "season of pruning" when Bp Warner required their next rector to receive Holy Communion from a female priest. Please pray for the congregants.

ACNA Diocese of Pittsburgh ordination service yesterday. It looks exactly like the Episcopal Church.

Notably, Anglicans have consistently found that 'good disagreement' ultimately leads to optional adherence to orthodox principles, and, as the late Richard John Neuhaus warned, when orthodoxy becomes optional, it will inevitably be prohibited.

The Anglican Communion is undergoing a significant shift, with the Global South, particularly Africa, becoming increasingly influential. The Global South churches, led by provinces such as Nigeria, Uganda, and Kenya, are growing rapidly, while Western churches face declining membership and aging populations. This demographic change has led to a clash of values, with the Global South taking conservative stances on social issues, such as abortion and LGBTQ+ rights, in contrast to the more liberal Western churches. The Global South has accused Western churches of neo-colonialism and imposing liberal values, leading to tensions and potential schism. Some Global South primates have declared impaired or broken communion with Western churches, and debates rage over the role of the Archbishop of Canterbury and the future of Anglicanism.

It's now been 36 days since this event was publicized. Bishops Alex Cameron & Alex Farmer helped platform a book which vilifies traditional Christians as sexist & abusive. There has 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 been zero apology or explanation for why this book was platformed in the first place.

What happened at Incarnation Williamsburg is the harsh reality of the Spiritual warfare facing our church today. The abuse and forsaking of vows by modernist Bishops and Priests alike has lead to the slow destruction of parishes across North America. Pray for their congregants.

@DOMA_Misconduct I don't think its permanently closed. Its social media channels are still up, updated and they have a worship service video from last Sunday.

Things would be far simpler if WO-affirming diocesan bishops would allow non-WO parishes to depart without hostility. Bp Warner & Incarnation, Williamsburg, pre-split, is a cautionary case of how quickly principle yields to control under the pretense of subsidiarity.

[Announcement] This Wednesday the 4th will see the printing and mail-prepping of The Corollary to The Valentine Appeal. A final publication will be posted this week which will include a new ending paragraph with a clearer mission statement.

Odd seeing an REC priest concede that under ACNA’s framework a bishop can “ordain whomever he wants,” aligning in practice w/pro-WO latitude—all to sustain “dual integrities,” whose lowest-common-denominator unity rests on built-in tension rather than shared order.

Reminder: Satan was kicked out of heaven. Therefore, "thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven" means that we kick him out here, too. And not just here -- but HERE. In me. If the kingdom of God is within (cf. Lk 17:21), then all manifestations of the enemy must be purged.

Signs of hope for @the_ACNA during a bleak time: The GTF's implementation of Title IV feedback. Courageous clergy & laity like @lambeth981, @revannek, @AndrewForFaith. Bp Julian Dobbs' clear love for the Formularies, so evident in his explanation for cancelling the seminar.

"A few months ago, I wrote a critical letter about a church and its ministry. The bishop called me. He did not like the tone. He asked me to write an apology. I did not particularly want to. But I did. Why? Because I am under orders." Appreciated this honest, refreshing take.

The Rev. Canon David Roseberry (C4SO): "In my decades of ministry, I do not know of a single instance of systemic male abuse of women within @the_ACNA ... The language used in promotional materials suggests examples of harm that I have not personally witnessed." (Link below)
