For those acting like this is a waste of time, the second pilot was a Quebec born Canadian who spoke French as their main language as does their family. The ceo of air canada does speak french and to issue condolences to both families in only English is rude and ignorant.

The tragic deaths of two CDN pilots to dangerous operating conditions in US has been entirely lost to the trash talking by parliamentarians on both sides of the aisle over who gets to be the most offended by a 4 minute sincerely offered condolence. *ssholes.

If I gave the Air Canada speech I would have added some French to it. Specifically a section speaking to the family of Captain Forest.
I'm not a fan of two exact speeches in each language. I like the flow of alternating different paragraphs- kind of like the bilingual version of the National Anthem. 👇

Speak for yourself.....one of the people who died on the job was francophone. Wouldn't it be nice of his employer to offer condolences in the language his family actually speaks? This is about Quebec's narcissism or whatever BS you are peddling, it's basic humanity and courtesy.

Air Canada has gone 43 (!) years without a fatal incident. My entire life up to this point has been lived in a country where the flag carrier never got a single person killed in a crash. The record is a totem to what serious people can accomplish. So naturally, Mark Carney is screaming at them to instead focus on nonsense.

Also the flight was out of Montreal and a lot of passengers and crew hurt in the crash were french speaking too.

A new poll by Abacus Data found 63% want Progressive Conservative MPPs to vote against their own government and defeat the province's planned changes to the FOI laws.
Why?
Because the poll found a majority believe the changes are "primarily intended to reduce government accountability."
