People who don’t like WAR are people who think hitting is the only thing you need to do to win games and defense and base running is irrelevant

@JayTee__420 @sean_incredible Well they haven’t shown they can beat good teams considering they’re 1-8 against them. So yes they can only play who’s on the schedule but they could do better than 1 win in 9 games.

- The Yankees played the Marlins, Angels & Rangers and beat them when they all had .500 or better records. The Marlins had literally won 5 of their first 6 games when they were going into facing the Yankees. All of those teams had winning records. Just because teams start losing for whatever reason after you’ve beaten them isn’t the Yankees fault — things happen. Injuries and things occur. The Rangers right now are 24-25, so if they win their next two games to move to 26-25, then that counts as the Yankees beating a team with a winning record? That’s dumb as hell. Lmfao…Context matters.

@bdean1981 @SamEichel1 @RhubarbBrown His contract doesn’t come close to as bad as BJ uptons contract. Upton was a negative player getting paid $15 mil a year. Riley hasn’t lived up to the contract but he signed it in 2022, had a massive 23 and still can turn it around.

Have seen a lot of people saying the Tatis throw shouldn’t have been cutoff last night. As the relay guy you line up in a perfectly straight line between the RF and the catcher. If the throw takes you too much in either direction you know the cut is needed. In this instance the throw took him a little too far to the left meaning the throw would’ve been too far up the line to have a chance. He made the right call to cut and relay it home. This is a perfect visual.

@kylerulez Some of the fan reactions to him are ridiculous but to be fair I didn’t think they should sign him at the end of last season. He’s an improvement over Nick Allen but his bat is not very good. He got a lot of money for no reason

They have young players waiting for a shot to play in the NHL but no real top Center prospects. It’s a no lose situation for them

@Braves I will never pay a dime for a broadcast game of the Atlanta Braves. I grew up with TBS. I know you make millions of dollars off of advertising even without subscriptions. The only dollars I will spend is to physically attend the game at the ball park.

@TheConnorPils Did he get 30/30? Yes that he got 30/30 yes but he was terrible offensively after the Allstar break and hasn’t been much better this year. He’s a defensive player with some slug now that pitchers adjusted to his huge first half last year.

He’s on a trajectory to be one of the best defensive players of all time. He started the All Star Game in his first full season in the majors and won a Gold Glove. He was one of only 7 30/30 players in MLB. He is a slightly below-average hitter right now, but the narrative that he isn’t “good enough” is one of the funnier I’ve seen.
