Disabled Students' Network UCL
@DSN_UCL
DSN represents all UCL students who identify as disabled. https://t.co/gmWqgJGZLb We have just released a report on disability discrimination at UCL.

@chron_ac @eandersonbrock I would love if our university would even mention disabled ppl and caregivers. A poll asking us what our needs are for fall.

Disabled and working as an academic during lockdown? How has work been for you as of late?

Disabled students' needs have increased while disabled students’ support has decreased. We can only conclude that the Department for Education is failing in their responsibility to give disabled students equal access to education. [12/12]

[MEGATHREAD: Disabled Students] Today, it's all about the ways the pandemic has exacerbated problems that disabled PhD students face. We're thrilled to be working with @ChangeDisabled today - follow them to stay updated on disabled students’ fight for equal access to education!

Read and sign your support, then please share with your networks: an open letter to UKRI, UK Universities and other Research Funders regarding specific reasonable adjustments for disabled, chronically ill and neurodivergent UK PhD students forms.gle/bRJzT3ziougs7U…

@DSN_UCL I'm really angry that UCL is pressuring students at the moment. I am a PhD student and feel that my department is unfairly pressuring me to fill in forms about my current and future progress at a time when I have no idea when things will get back to normal ...

Many disabled students have experience of being housebound, living with uncertainty and having to adapt. We are creating a campaign based on this expertise, which is relevant for all now. As a disabled student, what advice would you give to non-disabled students in this pandemic?
