@EmmaKEdDev Hi Emma. Buses depart from Blackfriars Station (Stop B) on Queen Victoria Street. If you speak to station staff they will be able to point you in the right direction as well. ^Will C

@TLRailUK the boarding process when TL trains are using the EMR platforms is so poor. Holding everyone in a pen until 2 minutes before the train leaves then leaving on time encourages people to shove - either let people board properly,let them board earlier or hold the train.

Approx 29k resident doctors applied for 9k training posts this year. They're not "choosing" to forgo specialist training, @gmcuk, they're being forced out of it by the decision to artificially suppress numbers of doctor training posts, even though we're so short of consultants.

We're pleased to share the second in our annual series of #StateOfMed reports – Workforce. This focuses on the changing shape of the medical workforce across the UK. This year’s report shows that the medical register continues to grow, as does the diversity of the doctors on it. Doctors’ career paths are also changing, with more doctors than ever before choosing locally employed (LE) roles, working outside of formal postgraduate training pathways and with local contracts. In England and Wales, where data is currently available to us, the number of LE doctors grew by 75% between 2019 and 2023 – this makes this the fastest growing cohort on the register. As we look to the next decade, it’s critical that all doctors have the infrastructure, support and resources they need to achieve their ambitions. That’s in the interests of doctors, as well as the interests of a growing and ageing population. @TLRailUK As the North Terminal is still operating, have @Gatwick_Airport clarified how people are expected to get there not using buses, trains or local roads?

⛔Thameslink, Southern and Gatwick Express trains can still run through the area, but will NOT be stopping at Gatwick Airport
🚌Local buses are also affected and unable to run to Gatwick Airport, so we would advise to avoid using this route
🚧We've also been advised of local road closures too, so if you are driving to the airport please be aware of this when planning your journey

Labour's family farm tax problem should be really easy to fix, and they could probably even do it in a revenue neutral way - eg instead of 20% above £1m go to 30% above £5 million.
They've got it wrong, and if you're going to have to do a U-turn then best to get on with it.

It's timely to highlight the life & work of computer scientist Lynn Conway.
In the late 1960s, she transitioned from male to female and was sacked by IBM as a result. For some years, she went underground and, for the rest of her career, worked as a woman - herstory unknown.
