Mark Cuban just saved baby Stella’s life. Stella was diagnosed with aggressive cancer at just four months old. Her mother posted a TikTok video showing her speaking with the insurance company, which was denying a medical lift that could have saved Stella’s life. The lift would have transported her from Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in Ohio for a T-cell transfusion that is only available at that facility. The insurance company claimed Stella was well enough to travel by road—even though both her parents and doctors said she was not. In fact, doctors refused to discharge her from the hospital due to her failing liver. Her mother posted the video begging for help—either a private plane or assistance securing a medical lift. The video caught the attention of billionaire Mark Cuban, who immediately stepped in and funded the entire transport, along with everything needed to get Stella to Cincinnati. Stella was scheduled for her T-cell transfusion two days ago. As soon as I have an update, I will provide one. And no, you do not hate insurance companies enough.

Minimum credit score needed? Any down payment required? Hidden costs or fees? You claim 65-85 bps worth of yield of any mortgage is the margin and inefficiency? What does that have to do with the rate you're offering? How much are you marking up home prices to subsidize the rate (which is a classic buydown play)? Beta in “limited flows and limited places” isn’t full disclosure. Where’s the transparency? American homebuyers also deserve the full math, not the hype. Show the terms. Crazy story at yesterdays @Mets game - Guy in section 121 had a heart attack and his wife started frantically yelling for help or a doctor or nurse to come over - One random guy in the section who said he was neither started doing chest compressions and saved the mans life. Eventually paramedics showed up to take over and assist the fallen man. The hero went back to his seat, sat down and watched the rest of the game with zero fanfare or attention. He just wanted to watch the Mets win. When the game ended he walked out like nothing had happened. Don't know his name but he saved a mans life and is a hero.

First, I think it is nutty to claim we aren’t transparent. Find a public company that is more transparent. Second, you are asking me to give away our rates on a beta product in a world where a) we are making changes every day and b) it seems that a lot of folks are interested in having this info so they can FUD or back out our processes. So no, I am not going to broadcast this every day. People buying homes from now will know this while we are in beta. Third, yes. Our rates are still as far below others as they used to be on first day of beta.

Braelyn’s story (please read) For those who are new here or just finding us, I wanted to share a clear update on our daughter. Braelyn is 18 and fighting an aggressive brain tumor. In early March, her condition suddenly worsened. What started as an 11 mm midline shift progressed to 19 mm in less than two weeks — we were in a race against time. We flew to UCLA where Dr. Linda Liau performed a complex brain surgery and was able to remove ~90% of the tumor and relieve the pressure on her brain. That surgery saved her life. But this tumor is aggressive and known to return quickly. Right now, we are in a critical window. Braelyn is home and working incredibly hard in rehab — relearning speech, regaining strength, and fighting every day to recover. At the same time, we are urgently working to slow tumor growth while pursuing a personalized immunotherapy (dendritic cell vaccine) that could give her a real chance at a future. Because there are no active clinical trials available, we are pursuing compassionate use in the UK. This process takes time — and time is what we are fighting for. We are also now considering proton radiation as a bridge, something I had been strongly opposed to, but may be necessary to help hold the tumor at bay while we work to access the vaccine. This is the hardest place to be — balancing risk, time, and hope. Braelyn continues to show incredible strength and determination through all of this. I don’t think people realize how much healthcare costs are driving big companies to fire and not hire. It costs them $30k per family, per year for premiums and care. Most of that goes to the massive, vertically integrated insurance companies that send weekly bills that no one reviews in details. And it doesn’t include the company overhead to deal with it all. It’s usually the 2nd largest expense after payroll. Which is insane It’s far easier to blame AI than it is to blame Healthcare costs. Want to increase jobs, wages and improve affordability for every American ? Break up the biggest insurance companies. Make divest non insurance companies. They don’t need thousands of subsidiaries. $NWBO I am bullish. I have been invested in this company for 11 years and have my entire life savings invested over 3.1 million shares. That being said I find it really disturbing that nobody on the board is allowed to be concerned about the fact that the MAA is taking five times longer than it was supposed to? Meanwhile, the stock price has literally crashed, NWBO management seems completely unwilling or unable to do anything to reassure shareholders, and is more than happy to just continue diluting hundreds of millions of shares no matter how low the price goes. I hate to even think about it, but this is really scary in terms of this approval that we all believe is extremely likely.

We immediately called her big sister Brina (a sophomore at Clemson), who said, “We need to celebrate — ice cream tonight!” 🍦 We are so excited and incredibly proud of her. We know there will be challenges ahead as we continue pursuing treatment and recovery, and we’ll need to explore support, accommodations, and a flexible path forward.
