Seven dogs stolen from their owners have gone viral after escaping from an illegal transport truck and making their way home. They traveled around 17 km together, led by a corgi across highways and fields, now safely back with their respective owners..🐶🐾🥺❤️

It really happened. There is real momentum here. We launched a magazine, and I cannot remember the last time I felt this excited, professionally, about something that mattered so much to me. Yes, on women’s economic empowerment. Yes, on the causes I love. But even more than that, on a vision of Canada that includes equal women, a strong economy, and a heritage and culture we can be proud of. As I looked out across the Albany Club, I thought back to nearly 20 years earlier, standing in that same room for my first fundraiser with the late Premier Bill Davis. And now, just shy of 20 years later, I was standing in that room again, launching a magazine for women who, for many, were the first in their families to go to university, the first to play hockey or soccer as a girl in their community. The first to lead in the boardroom, on the floor of the assembly, or at the head of the household. The first to be the breadwinner. This cohort of women is the most affluent and influential group of women over 50 in the history of our country. And it is time companies took notice, especially in how we live, how we spend, and how we travel. What I came to understand during the pandemic is that almost every meaningful activity in our world connects back, in some way, to tourism and hospitality, recreation and sport, heritage, culture, the arts, and civics. Brands need to understand us. Businesses need to understand this cohort. We are responsible for at least $1.3 trillion in economic influence. We drive 80% of household spending and 90% of travel decisions. We do so knowing exactly what we want. We make the bookings. We choose the brands. We are the deciding ballot, and we control the budgets. As North of 50 goes live, it will change conversations across Canada. Because we are not only elevating women over 50 who have done everything for everyone else and positioning them for choices that are finally about them. We are also lifting up vulnerable women. We have chosen a cause: tackling sex trafficking in Canada, where girls as young as 11 are sold again and again and again. And we are putting pride back into Canada and our history. Through stories of women like Evangeline, Viola Desmond, and Laura Secord. Through our natural history. Through our people, our places, and our products. That is what North of 50 stands for. Pride of people. Pride of place. Pride of product. Women 50+ is our people. Canada is our place. And North of 50 is our product. northof50mag.ca

Unbelievable. That's 👇 enough fentanyl to kill thousands of people. Read Sam's whole report. At least one of the suspects was a foreign national (had to surrender passport,) and another got permission following his arrest to return to his truck driving job! Our legal system increasingly seems to be abetting those spreading deadly poison across Canada.

My dream is to live in a country where all adults believe that protecting children from predators is the most important thing we can do. What a disgrace. @CPC_HQ @fordnation

Ending the repressive dictatorship in Tehran and halting its nuclear ambitions once and for all would be a monumental step towards regional stability. It also offers hope of a better life for the long-suffering people of Iran who have waited two generations for this moment. Let us hope they may soon embark upon a new chapter in the history of their country, one defined by freedom, justice and peace. The world owes a great debt to all those who put themselves into harm’s way for global peace and security.
