@WhiteHouse @NintendoAmerica is this a real expansion? I don't want politics in my Nintendo games. My kids play the switch. If this is the direction you're going then I'm not going to rely on Nintendo for wholesome entertainment anymore

Australia looks likely to suffer from the Iran war more than any western nation. Let the record show that our asshole prime minister fell all over himself in a mad rush to be the first leader in the imperial core to applaud Trump's war crimes.
Anthony Albanese@AlboMP

Australia stands with the brave people of Iran in their struggle against oppression. For decades, the Iranian regime has been a destabilising force, through its ballistic missile and nuclear programs, support for armed proxies, and brutal acts of violence and intimidation. Iran directed at least two attacks on Australian soil in 2024. These appalling acts targeting Australia’s Jewish community were intended to create fear, divide our society and challenge our sovereignty. In response, Australia took the unprecedented steps of expelling Iran’s Ambassador, suspending operations at our embassy in Tehran, and listing the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a state sponsor of terrorism. Our Government has sanctioned more than 200 Iranian-linked individuals, including more than 100 linked to the IRGC. With international partners, including the United States and the G7, we have called for the Iranian regime to uphold the human rights and fundamental freedoms of Iran’s citizens. These calls have gone unheeded. Instead, the regime has instigated a brutal crackdown on its own people leaving thousands of Iranian civilians dead. A regime that relies on the repression and murder of its own people to retain power is without legitimacy. It has long been recognised that Iran’s nuclear program is a threat to global peace and security. The international community has been clear that the Iranian regime can never beallowed to develop a nuclear weapon. The United Nations Security Council has reimposed sanctions on Iran for failing to comply with the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action and the International Atomic Energy Agency Board has formally declared Iran in non-compliance with its non-proliferation safeguards obligations. We support the United States acting to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon and to prevent Iran continuing to threaten international peace and security. Australian officials are closely monitoring this evolving situation. We continue to advise Australians do not travel to Iran and leave Iran as soon as possible, if it is safe to do so. Our ability to provide consular assistance in Iran is extremely limited. Given our concerns around security in the region, we have also upgraded Australia’s travel advice for Israel and Lebanon to Do Not Travel. Australians should leave now if it is safe to do so. The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade has activated its Crisis Centre to provide consular support to Australians in the region. Australians requiring urgent consular assistance can contact the Consular Emergency Centre 24/7 on 1300 555 135 in Australia or +61 2 6261 3305 from outside Australia.

@Seamus_Malek Think back to BLM and footage of protestors being beaten and arrested, and recent Gaza movements where police taze and pepper spray peaceful demonstrations. ICE murdered 3 people a couple of months ago. People know what will happen to them if they step out on the streets

Something I'm still shocked about is how little concrete organizing there seems to be, at least in here in New York, in terms of anti-war protests against the war in Iran.

Let me explain educate you all what just happened, 5 minutes before the President announced a halt to attacks on Iran… Someone placed a $1.5 BILLION bet on stocks going up and dumped $192 million in oil.5 minutes. These trades were 4 to 6 times larger than anything else in the market at that time. Whoever did this wasn’t guessing. You don’t risk $1.5 billion on a hunch. There was zero public indication this announcement was coming. No leaks. No press. Nothing. The only people who knew were in the room when the decision was made. Someone in that room picked up a phone. And within minutes, they made more money than most Americans will earn in a thousand lifetimes. In a single trade. On a war that cost you $4+ gas and $16 billion in tax dollars. American citizens funded this war. Politicians are positioned to profit from it. This is not the first time. Major announcements have repeatedly been preceded by suspicious market moves tariff reversals, policy shifts, war decisions. This may be one of the most blatant examples of potential insider advantage in modern American politics. You would go to prison for trading on a tip from your cousin. Yet billion-dollar trades happen minutes before decisions like this and no one asks questions.Nobody gets investigated. Nobody gets charged. By tomorrow, this will be buried under the next headline. Just like last time. And the time before that. The game is rigged. The insiders pull the strings and win over and over. And they’re not even trying to hide it anymore.

BREAKING: Just five minutes before Trump's announcement to halt the attacks on Iran, massive trades reportedly hit the market. In one move, $1.5 billion in S&P 500 (ES) futures was bought while $192 million in oil (CL) futures was sold. These orders were 4–6x larger than anything else at the time. The trader seemingly made huge gains. Unusual.

Way more attractive WITH makeup. Criminalize it. Make the sale/distribution of makeup a felony. And the use of makeup a misdemeanor.

So, without any due diligence, Iran retaliates against Qatar, so Trump tries to defend them. USA and Israel have many similar goals, but occasionally they work out of lock step with each other. Trump doesn't want more attacks on key energy infrastructure in the middle east which is vital to economic health in the region and beyond. I'm not sure which part you are mad about.

I can't believe that Nvidia looked at this "AI on top of games filter" and said to themselves this is the future of gaming. Like it or not, this is where Nvidia is heading and they're calling it neural rendering with DLSS 5. The examples they've showed reminded me a lot of those AI generated filter videos on top of GTA V, except that now it is supposed to run in real-time. Honestly, I don't like this current look at all
