@samkelemaseko @MightiJamie I remember this general was at the Ad-hoc committee. I think she was the CFO or in finance somewhere in SAPS. An analysis on her is needed. We need to know on which side is she on. The spotlight needs to shine on her. She must know we are watching 😭

Johannesburg has failed to secure new funding from a major international lender, raising concerns about its financial stability. The rejection is tied to compliance and governance issues linked to an earlier loan, according to a source. City officials dispute that assessment, insisting they met all obligations. The setback highlights growing risks in municipal finance in Africa’s most industrialized economy.

Special Investigating Unit (SIU)
#KnowYourSIU| 1. The SIU does not target people nor do we investigate people. We investigate procurement processes in State Institutions and all levels of government departments, and it's through these processes that we find people who are responsible. In simple terms, we follow the money and the money leads us to people. 2. The law that governs the SIU states that the SIU does not identify its own investigations. We receive allegations, which we then assess to see if falls within our mandate, and we write a motivation for a proclamation to the President for authorisation. We rely on whistleblowers or people reporting to our hotline, which is 0800 037 774.

Why the SIU is suddenly targeting high-profile influencers?

@KCMokoma Value of water you didn't harvest? Infact, you were not supposed to be compensated for anything since you use the same water. You should be paying for the infrastructure instead.

As Basotho, this infrastructure means: 1. Some possibilities of increased tourists attractions 2. Improved GDP figures 3. More hydropower generated locally 4. More water being pumped into SA implying more royalties (though very little compared value of water) 5. More jobs

@CyrilRamaphosa you should have opted to drive, and see for yourself the state of the roads in the Free State. There's a road there by Marquard I would have loved you to experience. It's called R708. That road has humbled me.

@elonmusk free advice if you're not already late. You have been annoying us for days now.
Andre Vlok@vlok_andre

Elon, bro Here's a plan. If you're serious about this, that is. Call off these fluffers and paid praise singers. They are wrong, irritating, disrespectful, and they are doing your cause a lot of harm. Get on a plane, and come and sit down with the relevant authorities and decision makers. Here, in SA. Show respect, show us that we want to work with you. Record the meeting(s) if you worry about skullduggery. Bring the facts. Bring your arguments, stats, show us how everyone benefits. Address our security concerns, give us a few simple safety backups. Negotiate this like the businessman you are. You did not build your empire using the whiny victim model currently in play. If there are others pushing this current mess, bring them along. It will make everything easier. Walk back the harm of the last few months. Talk to us about business, and benefits, respectfully, as people that you want to do business with, not people that owe you a favour. There are just far too many big pieces missing in your current presentation. People have noticed, and doubling down on that, and adding anonymous X influencers really just don't do it for us. We are funny that way. That, or pack up your wares and leave. When a salesman gets a "no" he tries harder, or goes knocking on the next door. He doesn't insult and threaten the potential client. It's weird. And rude. One way or the other - decision time.

For me, it’s a disaster, it’s where Africa must improve because it’s always a matter of referees. “And I’m very proud that it was a good game but in my opinion, the referee was not at a good level to be officiate such a semi-final."
