@Section344Lions People say this almost every year and then 2 or 3 teams make the Postseason. It's still April, people.

@MarcRyanOnAir Anyone who understands Brad and Dan knows Proctor was never a real option. It was a smoke screen if anything . He does not fit the character or culture mold. No chance Brad spends a 1st on him. Brad literally said he tried to trade up for Miller until about pick 14.

Peter Schrager confirms with a retweet that the Lions attempted to trade up to take Kadyn Proctor last night over Blake Miller. Consider that swing and a miss a blessing. Proctor plays far too upright. Just can’t believe the calls weren’t being made for Rueben Bain. #OnePride
KG ❄️🏆@ShoutoutKG

Peter Schrager talking about Proctor rising on draft night. Sullivan said a team called to trade up with the Dolphins to draft Proctor. Now it’s coming out the Lions were the team to call. They took a tackle on their pick.

Detroit finally facing a southpaw tonight… So….don’t tell me who you want…what do you think Hinch will do? Will Kerry Carpenter and/or Colt Keith be in the lineup tonight? Both, one, or neither… Or do they configure the lineup to get Veirling in there w/Wenceel batting righty and Jahmai Jones gets a start at DH.

@DetroitLions734 @DLFPtweets As I've stated multiple times, I was never arguing Decker should still be our LT.. I said I agree with the decision to move on from him if he doesn't take a pay cut. I was specifically talking about how the Lions have handled the situation.

I have no issue with how the Lions handled the Taylor Decker situation. The NFL is a business

@D__C__3 @Section344Lions I do. Ragnow was hella injured and he knew it. He wasn’t completely honest about its severity.

This whole Taylor Decker story comes off as a guy that overplayed his hand and/or was given bad advice, and is now butt hurt with how it all played out. Even calling Justin Rogers to his house is a telling move IMO. I feel bad because I do love Taylor Decker, but the team wasn’t required to bend over backwards for him and it kinda seems like that’s what he’d assumed they do. I think Taylor Decker’s original announcement of coming back might have even been a strategic play on his part & done so before he knew if the team even fully wanted him back. He wanted his cake & to eat it, too. Unfortunately for him the team wasn’t required to take him back & certainly not all on Taylor’s terms.

@React2W @Section344Lions I mean, Brad did a podcast this week and literally said he hasn't had any contact with Decker. So both sides are saying there was no communication after the season.

@D__C__3 @Section344Lions We will never know what went on behind the scenes and there’s always two sides to every story. I don’t think this article drops if he gets signed week one of free agency for 15 million a year like he wanted I don’t think he cares if the Lions thank him then or not.

@React2W @Section344Lions I am not saying they made the wrong decisions, they just haven't done it in the right way. MCDC is supposed to be a player's coach. Take 2 minutes to talk to Deck and this whole thing looks and feels different.

@D__C__3 @Section344Lions Well either way, he asked for his release. And nobody signed him to the deal he wanted so it looks like the Lions made the right decision.

@React2W @Section344Lions I don't believe Ragnow or Decker tried to come back just to collect a paycheck. Ragnow tried to come back during the season. He wouldn't have made much money. Both Ragnow and Decker played through serious and nagging injuries. Rarely missing a game.

@D__C__3 @Section344Lions Okay well there you go. He was offered a deal and rejected it. Just wasn’t the deal he wanted. Look, Ragnow tried to fuck them too. He was planning to come back and collect a check while in rehab. Decker may have been trying to do the same thing.

@D__C__3 @gullett_james @the_det_times @Justin_Rogers The courtesy thing to do in that situation was retire they wanted him to do that he didn’t, he wanted 20m knowing he wasn’t a 20m a year player anymore not even a 10m player he’s god awful he ruined his own legacy by being money hungry

@React2W @Section344Lions Decker asked for his release when it became clear he wasn't really wanted anymore. Brad wouldn't return his calls. Allegedly, there were no mentions of a pay cut until after Decker decided to come back. They told his agent he would need to take a significant pay cut.

@D__C__3 @Section344Lions So they just cut him? It was pretty obvious that Campbell wanted nothing more to do w him when he said he wasn’t retiring.

@D__C__3 @Section344Lions That’s why it’s called a business and not friendness. He was offered a contract, and he turned it down. He walked away, not them.

@DLFPtweets You didn't answer the question. He asked to be released after Brad ghosted him. Brad can take an hour to do a podcast and defend himself, but he couldn't take 30 seconds to talk to Decker? We all love the Lions, but we don't have to turn a blind eye when the team makes mistakes.

@React2W @Section344Lions That's fine. I don't have a problem with the football or the business side if this. It's the human side of it. You're telling me Brad is so busy he couldn't return Deck's call? After the release, couldn't take 2 minutes to thank a guy who gave everything to the team for 10 years?

@D__C__3 @Section344Lions Pretty obvious that Campbell is over him. They needed him last year and he couldn’t give it to them. So they’ve moved on. Let him go to Indiana.

@gullett_james @the_det_times @Justin_Rogers Brad hasn't spoken to Deck since the season ended. Didn't return his call to let him know he's not retiring. Dan took that call and then it's been radio silence from the entire organization. Not even his position coach reached out to him this whole time.. yet Ben Johnson has.

The first ABS challenge in Detroit Tigers history is… of course, Javy Baez. He was correct and the call was reversed. The following pitch he singled up the middle
