"Pride" month is just around the corner, so I'd like to remind all those who will be participating:
"God OPPOSES the proud, but gives grace to the humble."

Ken Paxton has won the Republican nomination for US Senate in Texas and will face James Talarico in November.
Paxton was impeached by his own party for bribery and corruption, said the Uvalde school shooting was “God’s plan,” and offered a child rapist a 1-day jail sentence.
Trump-backed Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton will win the Senate primary runoff for the GOP nomination, CBS News projects, unseating longtime incumbent Sen. John Cornyn in a seismic shift for Republicans in the Senate.
"When everyone in Washington told him to abandon me and abandon the people of Texas, he didn't listen," Paxton said at his victory party on Tuesday, thanking President Trump for his last-minute endorsement that boosted Paxton's fortunes.
Romans 6:18 is powerful, but let’s read it in context. The whole chapter and Romans 3-5 before it is about justification by grace through faith, not by our works good or bad.
We are not “saved from bad works into good works” as the basis of our salvation. We are saved by Christ’s finished work on the cross, received by faith alone.
Our good works are the fruit and evidence of that salvation, not the root. Calling faithful brothers like Ryan “wolves” because they preach the true Gospel of grace sounds more like the spirit of the Pharisees than the Bereans who searched the Scriptures. True Christians are called to test everything by the Word, not by tradition or our own ideas of “righteousness.”
Salvation is by faith in Christ alone. Good works follow as we are transformed by the Holy Spirit. That’s the glorious freedom of the Gospel.
@tovi_lord@needGod_net Romans 6:18 is a glorious declaration that grace does not leave us in our sin; it radically frees us from sin’s tyranny so we can live as slaves of righteousness, to the glory of God, both now and forever.
Ooooook, “But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ down from above) or, “ ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.””

Only Jesus forgives. We are saved by grace through faith alone. “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
