I'm still reeling from the death of Joni Lamb today. Honestly, until Nov of 2024 & all the revelations about what was going on with she & Jonathan, I had never heard of her, or him or Daystar. As I watched the podcasts about all of that I was stunned often at the taunting of God, the lies, manipulations occurring then & in the past with Marcus & Joni. Even as I was appalled by it all, I really did see Joni with much compassion. I kinda' 'got her,' in a strange way. I felt disgust at the lies, but I still felt a great care for her & I prayed often for her, that Jesus would so captivate her that all the rest she was holding onto would fall away & she would run to truth & reconciliation with her only son. The truth is, she did not and time ran out. She purposely made it so he was not called at her end, not told that she was dying, denied a last conversation with her. Her instructions, her wish. A mother and son who, from all accounts had a great relationship until Dough Weiss entered their lives 3 years ago, and at the end, he was with her but her son was not. I cannot understand any mother not wanting to see her son in her final days, regardless of what had happened. I do not understand. It was all between she and God today. I hope His mercy covered her.
