HORMUZ | 14 July Crude transit capacity update
After dead yesterday, MINIMUM HYA exports are at 79% of pre-war level today. 4 out, 5 in + 11 dark laden VLCCs which may have transited in past 5 days. Trump claims oil is flowing - plausible, but in the dark, and costing lives.
One of the most jarring things about adulthood is the realization of how many truly incompetent people are in the most important jobs. When I was a kid, I just assumed everyone “important” was smart or they wouldn’t be important. Boy, was that fucking wrong.
Watch @Tesla self-driving v14.3.4 try to slam into a freeway barrier at nearly 70mph, forcing the driver to swerve to avoid a high-speed crash!
@ElonMusk’s defective self-driving software is a danger to the public and must be taken off our roads.
@GBNews23653867 He shouldn’t and come someone explain why he calls himself the shadow chancellor for a party with 8 MPs (and he isn’t one of them - they choose a dodgy, sexist plumber over him!)
Interesting point saw this on FB
Anyone confirm or deny please?
Burnham cannot legally hold the position as UK Prime Minister. And if the king allows him to take this role, the king of England himself should abdicate,
The rules are clear in 17 0 5. You have to have been a member of The House of Lords or an elected member in a general Election to become a UK Prime Minister, Andy Burnham was neither of these and has no legal right to be Prime Minister. He can however, be the leader of The Labour Party, but he cannot be lawfully. UK Prime Minister.
So how is this carrying on??!??"
Elon Musk thinks coding dies this year.
Not evolves. Dies.
By December, AI won’t need programming languages. It generates machine code directly. Binary optimized beyond anything human logic could produce. No translation. No compilation. Just pure execution.
Musk: “You don’t even bother doing coding.”
Code was never the point. It was friction. A tax we paid because machines didn’t speak human. AI just learned fluent human. The tax is gone.
Now plug that into Neuralink. No syntax. No keyboard. No screen.
Musk: “Imagination-to-software.”
Thought becomes executable. You imagine an outcome, the system architects and compiles it into reality instantly.
We’re not automating programming. We’re erasing it from existence.
The entire profession collapses into a thought. Decades of training reduced to irrelevance. The gap between idea and instantiation hits zero.
You don’t build anymore. You imagine, and it materializes.
Not incremental progress. Total phase shift. The way humans have created things for ten thousand years just became obsolete.
Welcome to a world where the limiting factor isn’t skill, resources, or time. It’s whether you can picture what you want clearly enough for a machine to birth it into existence.
There is clearly a pause right now by investors’ interest in buying Canadian oil stocks while WTI is close to $80.
In my opinion, this pause is temporary, oil prices will continue to rise and consequently now is a good time to add to your oil names.
WTI oil has now exceeded $81 and will keep rising this week. I encourage you not to miss this rare buying opportunity for oil stocks.
Many names will approach or even hit their 52 week highs over the next 4-6 weeks, well supported by great Q2 results.
Best buying time right now.
@GBC_Press I find it odd that a President in his own capital need 10 x armoured vehicles and hordes of agents as body guards - in UK our prime minister walks outside his house to give briefings and don’t need bulletproof vehicles or glass
🚨 BREAKING:
While Trump's insistence on the Reflective Pool is on the agenda, allegations that the pool's floor was damaged by heavy presidential vehicles are being debated in the US public.
What are these vehicles doing in the pool?
People are now like “but what about the oil mini-glut?! 😏”
But important to stress that there was in fact a mini-glut as Hormuz exits surged and Asian (*cough* China) import demand remained weak—it was just temporary and comparatively small, hence the “mini”.
Wouldn’t have seen prompt, contango if there wasn’t at least a brief oversupply of spot-available crude.
Even if the drive lower was mainly paper pressure, a tighter physical market would have provided a more reliable floor before we got there.
Mini-glut now appears to be passed at lease for now, moving back to scarcity signals.
But you’re doing yourself a disservice if you only believe timespreads when they agree with your prior.

BREAKING: The odds of the Fed hiking rates at the July 29th meeting crash to 8% after CPI inflation unexpectedly posts its biggest monthly decline since April 2020.
@Jason Erm don’t you think if US could have simply taken the straight they would already - problem with US is you are getting very tame news compared to rest of world and we all see what you don’t A Iran is far more capable, persistent and armed than you all are being told !
Balls and strikes: We should never have started a never-ending war in Iran... that was a huge blunder by POTUS. He should have listened to his team.
But now that it's done, perhaps the best strategy is for POTUS to "seize"/protect the Striaght of Hormoz in exchange for % of the cargo we protect.
Of course, it's illegal and all that.. but I bet the folks impacted would take that deal!!!
India is reportedly furious at Iran and has summoned their Iranian ambassador after two ships were attacked in the Strait of Hormuz killing an Indian sailor.
