Want to see the rise in anti-Semitism in action?
A 20-ish TradCath therapist for my 5-year-old son has quit.
Why?
She can't work in his Jewish preschool or our Jewish home.
She codes it as "politics" and "current world affairs," but after follow-ups with the agency, it WAS because we're Jews.
Or at least, we're Jews who believe that you can't claim Israel or "the Jews" somehow secretly control Trump and the U.S. government.
It couldn't haven't been over me supporting the war, because — at most — I'm skeptical of the war, and have been all along.
What is ironclad, however, is that there's no secret Jewish control of the U.S., via the State of Israel or otherwise.
But there are a LOT of Zoomers who believe that. And a growing number of self-described traditional Catholics do, as well.
In other words, the exact demographic of my little boy's therapist who doesn't want to work with or around Jews anymore.
Not coincidentally, it's also the exact demographic targeted by the likes of Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, Megyn Kelly and Carrie Prejean.
You may not care about whether a health care provider refuses to work with little Jewish children.
But what if it's other medical providers who won't treat Jews? Or worse?
Never mind that anti-Semitic attacks in America are up almost five-fold since 2017.
Do the people who have started echoing the "Israel controls America" nonsense even understand the ramifications of how that feeds anti-Semitism?
Do they understand that you can't claim that "Jews" or the Jewish state are secretly leading America off a cliff and potentially into permanent ruin without inflaming anti-Semitism?
Because you know who DOES understand that Jews will directly suffer from these new "anti-Israel" narratives?
The very people pushing them: Tucker, Candace, Megyn, Prejean, and their minions.

I am proof that this is wrong.

I am a second-generation Messianic Jew. My father was raised as a secular Jew, came to faith in Yeshua before I was born, and HE RAISED ME TO BE JEWISH. My Jewish identity is inseparable from the core of my being and from my everyday faith practice. I am more dedicated to the Torah than my father was before he became a believer. I am more faithful to the Torah than my late grandfather or my late great-grandfather. And I swear with God as my witness that if I ever have children of my own, I will pour my God-given Jewish heritage into them, and instill in them a zeal for the Torah—because my faith in Yeshua demands it.
Here’s the insane part (and I’m going to be really bold here): when Jews say that believing in Yeshua makes us cease to be Jewish, they are trying to do the same thing that Rome and Christianity and Islam tried to do—they are trying to erase the Jewish heritage of Jews like me.
In an ideal world, there would be no need for the term “Messianic Jew” because EVERY Jew would follow the Messiah—the one true Messiah, Yeshua. And as incomprehensible as it is right now, there will come a future generation when every single Jew is part of the New Covenant (Jer. 31:30-33) which Yeshua mediated for us, just as Moses mediated the covenant of Torah. The Jewish faith has always pointed forward to the Messiah. Since I believe I know who He is, somehow that makes me no longer Jewish? Doesn’t sound kosher to me.
I have had Jews tell me I’m not a Jew. I have had Christians tell me I’m not a Jew. I won’t let you. I am a Jew, because the God of Israel made me a Jew. And it is my duty to serve the Jewish Messiah, Yeshua. Yeshua did not abolish the covenant of Torah, nor does He blot out my Jewishness—He gives me the light of God’s salvation to shine to all the nations (Isa. 49:6). And I want to save my Jewish people from the destruction of their souls which comes from rejecting the Son of God (Psa. 2:7). If you’re a Jew reading this, don’t write me off and try to erase my Jewishness. And maybe you could even consider the idea that the Messiah has already come and will come again.

NCTC isn't a criminal investigative agency. Bishop Barron has had a tremendous impact on the development of my faith. I am very glad he laid out here the true orthodox Christian teaching on Zionism. However, the problem that Carrie Prejean Boller exposed was that this teaching is antisemitic.
I do not think his critique of Carrie is fair here. In her exchange with Seth Dillon and the Jewish Rabbi, she was not emotional and never lost her cool. She asked tough questions about tough issues, that needed to be asked. This is an important issue of our time.
It is OK to be outspoken against Zionism. If our Church leaders are not going to stand firm for the truth that Bishop Barron said here himself, someone must, and Carrie did. I believe she was punished unfairly for doing so by individuals on the commission who want to protect a certain agenda and narrative.
Hatred, discrimination, or abuse of Jewish people because they are Jewish is actual antisemitism, and it is of course wrong. All people have the God-ordained, inalienable right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. However, the rejection that the current nation state of Israel is the biblical Israel, that the Jewish people have no God-ordained, promised land rights, in a word, anti-Zionism, is not antisemitism.
The fact that the latter (anti-Zionism) is considered antisemitic, and therefore most of the worlds Christians can be labeled as such, and held accountable under law, or censored on social media, is becoming a major issue that needs to be talked about and addressed, and Carrie brought it to light.

Over the past several weeks, Carrie Prejean Boller has complained that she was removed from the Presidential Commission on Religious Liberty because of her Catholic beliefs, and she has called out myself and other Catholic members of the commission for not defending her. This is absurd. Mrs. Prejean Boller was not dismissed for her religious convictions but rather for her behavior at a gathering of the Commission last month: browbeating witnesses, aggressively asserting her point of view, hijacking the meeting for her own political purposes. The Catholic position on matters of “Zionism,” to which I fully subscribe, is as follows: all forms of antisemitism are to be unequivocally condemned; the state of Israel has a right to exist; but the modern nation of Israel does not represent the fulfillment of Biblical prophecies and hence does not stand beyond criticism. If Mrs. Prejean Boller were dismissed for holding these beliefs, it is difficult to understand why I am still a member of the Commission. To paint herself as a victim of anti-Catholic prejudice or to claim that her religious liberty has been denied is simply preposterous.

He did not have to go to Vietnam.
He had every reason not to. A Princeton degree. A blown-out knee. A future waiting for him in the comfort of civilian life.
He waited a full year for that knee to heal, just so he could serve.
Let that sink in.
He walked into hell when other men were running from it. He came home with a Bronze Star for heroism and a Purple Heart soaked in the blood of his sacrifice. He spent the next four decades standing in the breach, as a prosecutor, as FBI Director, as the man who held this nation together in the smoldering ash of September 12th, 2001, when we were all afraid and we needed someone steady, someone serious, someone who loved this country more than he loved himself.
He was all of those things.
He was a Republican.
He was, by every honest measure, an American hero.
And the President danced on his grave.

I want to celebrate the bravery of thousands of people who are engaging in protest against the oppressive regime in Israel. I remember vividly when the Bibi Netanyahu was swept to power some 20 years ago, and I have witnessed the steady and vicious attacks on human dignity perpetrated by the corrupt ethnostate that has been established. Moreover, I’ve watched as the Israeli defense force has systematically de-stabilized the Middle East by fostering radical IDF soldiers who shoot at kids, and are committing a genocide in Gaza, and is responsible for killing a Catholic priest in Lebanon. This dishonorable Israeli government, which has caused the U.S. to go to war in Iran, has been a source of so much evil and has caused suffering of innocent human life these past several decades, will find its way to the trash-heap of history. Anyone who criticizes Israel and its unjust war crimes is called an antisemite. I’d rather be called names than support this terrorizing state called Israel.
