Evgeni Malkin's one-year extension with #pens is worth $5.5 million

Boomers seem to forget that fast food used to be a normal, everyday expense for them because it was affordable. You could get a burger easily on minimum wage, it wasn’t some fancy treat you had once a year as a reward for pulling yourself up by your bootstraps.

@Awk20000 It’s literally so much more expensive to make a sandwich yourself and there’s so much food waste.

@ii_analyze Half a chicken breast?! One fucking carrot. And a cup of spinach. 🤣 Thats only about 280 calories. You need a minumum of 2000 a day. This for 3 meals is 840 cal. Im 6'6" and active, I would literally starve to death if I ate this for each meal.

here’s the thing no one’s saying a $28 daily lunch habit is reasonable it’s just that 1. it’s hard to swallow when that lunch used to be $16 but your income hasn’t changed 2. the more affordable options suck! like atleast admit the $2 pb&j is not particularly satisfying
